"Very Disappointing"
Travel date:
February 2010
Me and my girlfriend spent a week at the Vista Oasis. I booked the holiday with Teletext Holidays. I found out that Teletext Holidays use more than one company to book their holidays. So after getting a quote from a company called Que Travel, when I called back, it wasn't the same company. I found this out as no confirmation email was sent and I could not follow it up. I was told it was in Maspolomas when it was actually in Sonnenland.
Starting with the good points:
- The food was very nice and not too expensive.
- The area was quiet and we could venture into the town or the beach for less than €5 for a taxi.
- The pool was in a spotless condition and the plants were well looked after.
The bad points:
- The cleaners are in at 9 a.m. every single morning. Before hand, they are very noisy pushing trolleys up and down and shouting across the complex at one another.
- The boilers are very small allowing only a three minute shower before having to wait for the water to warm up again.
- The staff on reception are extremely ignorant. They don't want to be there and they don't want you to be there.
- There are no double beds and having to push two single beds together is a bit of a pain.
- For self catering guests, there are no cooking facilities apart from an electric hob.
- The internet computers are over-priced at €1 per 15 minutes, whereas anywhere else you can get €1 an hour.
I would only recommend this hotel to those who just need a place to crash on a stag do or something like that. Not somewhere you would want to spend your time in the complex. Overall very disappointed with the hotel staff's attitude towards people as even a goodbye was ignored.

"Never Again!"

Never to return again. I stayed here for one week - the worst time of my life. There was no air conditioning, it was small stuffy, claustrophobic and I couldn't relax. The pool was the best part about these apartments. The food there I would NOT recommend and I did not like the management - they were rude and arrogant. Also the people in the apartment next door to ours were robbed. Never to return again to the Vista Oasis!

"Fab Time. We're Coming Back in 2009"
Travel date:
April 2008
Just wanted to say that we had such a fab time in April 2008 that we're going back in April 2009, which is only 12 weeks away! We're going as a family this time and taking our two teenage daughters. Just myself and my hubby went last year.
We would highly recomend the Vista Oasis complex to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday. The bungalows are very clean and very good value for money. The maid service is great and the views we had from number 61 were just gorgeous. We're hoping to get the same number this year.
The people are friendly. All in all, it's a great holiday. After all, a holiday is only what you make it. Top marks to all. See you soon.

"Vista Oasis"

I've just come from back from a holiday here and I have to say I think it was the best one I've been on. For a two star hotel, I think its better than some of the three star I've stayed at.
It was set in a lovely location, really suitable for families. The staff were all really nice and helpful with any queries. The bar and pool areas were kept really clean and tidy and there were maintenance men about all the time. The pool was never too busy and you didn't have to come down first thing to put your towels down because there were always plenty of beds.
The apartments are tiered which is great and there is a very homely feel about the place. Apartments were basic but clean and you had everything you needed. We had a great size of a balcony and a fantastic view of the sunrise and the Campo International every morning.
There are loads of things to do for everyone - Holiday World, Aquaworld, Palmitos Park and Sioux City. Great shopping at Atlantico and the beach is ten minutes away on the free bus. Would recommend to any of my friends and would love to go back again.

"Vista Oasis - One Of The Best"
Travel date:
May 2004
I stayed in Vista Oasis with three of my children in May 04. Thata was my second time there and what a fantastic place it is. In fact, I am going again in two weeks time with the other three of my children and I can't wait.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, there is regular evening entertainment in the complex and food is cheap. We went to Sioux City which is fun, also went to Palmitos Park which is great. Faro II shopping centre is a must.
All in all a great holiday and I will be going again next year.

The Vista Oasis is a fantastic place. We went for Christmas one year and it was great. The staff are friendly, the evening entertainment was fantastic when we went and right outside the apartments there was a bus which was free and took you to the beach which was fantastic. I'm trying to book up again for 2005 in the summer to take my family back there again. Fantastic time, fantastic place.
