"Tenerife Tour"

Having requested a quiet hotel in Tenerife, I was directed to the above hotel. Las Caletillas is a small town with little to recommend it and a poor bus service.
The hotel is described as ten minutes from Santa Cruz, however by taxi on a good day it would take at least 20 minutes.
The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean, although not brilliant. All rooms face the sea and the swimming pools, which were good. The staff were pleasant and helpful, but with limited English.
On New Years Eve, there was a special meal which was excellent, although the band played very loud music until 6 a.m.
For the rest of the holiday, the food was poor and the menu uninspired. It was invariably cold or lukewarm and I would not recommend it.
Every Saturday a live band pays very loud music until 3 a.m, so we did not get the quiet holiday we requested.
The final day there was very heavy rain and water ran through the chalet from front to back and although we were offered an alternative room for the night, there were no staff to assist and only additional towels were forthcoming to mop up the water.
