The four star La Dorada Aparthotel opened in May 1997 and is located next to the s'Albufera nature reserve and only 200 metres from the beach of Playa de Muro in the Bay of Alcudia.

The La Dorada complex consists of five apartment buildings with lifts and three main buildings with air-conditioned public rooms, an entrance hall with reception and sitting room, gymnasium, indoor swimming pool, dining room serving buffet-style meals with a variety of hot and cold dishes, conference room to seat approximately 50 people, games room and a lounge bar with a stage for the daily entertainments programme. In the centre of the complex, set amongst the gardens, there is a swimming pool, a sunbathing terrace with sun beds and parasols, a children's area and a snack bar. The La Dorada entertainment team offers a varied daily programme including games, competitions, quizzes, dancing and shows, as well as different sports such as morning keep fit, water polo, bowls, volley ball, table tennis, sauna and tennis court, all free of charge. The 'Hobby-Club' is for children and has activities and games in the daytime and the evening, as well as with games and competitions. There is a pre - bookable baby sitting service, with a charge.

Each of the 24 suites and the 232 apartments in the aparthotel sleeps two to four persons and has a separate bedroom, kitchenette, a living-dining room with two sofa beds, satellite television, telephone, safety deposit box (at an extra charge) and a balcony. They all have air-conditioning and heating.
