The four star Alhaurin Golf Hotel is set amongst the Sierra de Mijas and is just 20 kilometres from the beach with the coast just a 30 minute drive away. The hotel is located on an avocado farm in Alhaurin El Grande, surrounded by mountains, 340 metres above sea level and the golf course is situated in a wooded area. It is six kilometres from Mijas, 30 kilometres from Marbella and 20 kilometres from Torremolinos.

The Alhaurín Golf is a tourist complex comprising a hotel, a restaurant, an equestrian centre, an 18 hole golf course, a nine hole par three course, designed by Severiano Ballesteros and a 12 hole pitch and putt course. It is built in typical Andalusian style. The hotel has a cafeteria, two tennis courts, television and reading rooms, saunas, gardens with swimming pool, meeting and banquet rooms with a capacity for up to 200 people and the 'La Ventilla' restaurant which serves regional and national dishes, as well as lunches and dinners with theme menus based on local produce. The restaurant is built in an old Andalusian farmhouse. The farmhouse also contains a bar.

The 38 Alhaurin Golf rooms are all equipped with air conditioning, central heating, bathroom with hair dryer, coffee/tea maker, mini bar, satellite television, telephone and furnished terrace or balcony with views of the mountains. The hotel also features one suite and five presidential suites.
