"Good All Inclusive Hotel"

Escorial is one of the best all inclusive I have stayed in with good food, although the snacks looked quite limited. The rooms are the standard three star Spanish hotel rooms which were fine and a nice balcony.
The hotel clientèle is about 80% German with the rest made up of Brits and Dutch but the hotel staff could speak all the three languages. When I was there I would say the age range was predominately over 50s but it could change in the height of the season.
The hotel has a wellness centre which looked great and a gym plus snooker and pool tables and for those who can't do without the internet, a free service. I am not sure if this is a family hotel as when I was there, there were not many children in the hotel.
The entertainment was the usual Spanish hotel stuff with singers and other acts which, in truth, were not very good but that is not one of my priorities when choosing a hotel.
The part of Playa del Ingles which the hotel is in is flat with plenty of shops and bars near by and the Irish centre is a couple of minutes walk away. To get to the beach you have to go down a lot of steps which, for people with walking difficulties and older people, would be quite a challenge. All in all a great holiday in a good hotel.
Transport to hotel, taxi from airport at 23.00, 39 euros and tip and from hotel to airport at 20.30, 31 euros and tip.
