The Riu Palace Meloneras Villas are situated in the area of Meloneras, 800 metres from the beach of Maspalomas and 200 metres from the resort's shopping centre. They are six kilometres from the centre of Playa del Ingles and are set in the subtropical gardens of the Riu Palace Meloneras Hotel.

The hotel itself is built in colonial style and guests at the villas may use the hotel's facilities. The Riu Palace Meloneras features a bar with terrace, lounge bar, restaurant with non-smoking section and terrace, conference room with television and video, meeting room, beauty and health centre 'Body Love' which offers physiotherapy, massages, beauty parlour and professional 'Wellness', gym, jacuzzi and bio-sauna, hairdresser, boutique, souvenir shop, jewellery shop and kiosk and internet access. Outdoor facilities include two swimming pools that are heated in winter, children's swimming pool that is also heated in winter, lounge chairs, cabins, towels and sun umbrellas by the pool, sun terrace, pool bar, theme restaurant and children's playground. This Riu hotel offers a breakfast buffet with wholemeal, on the spot cooking station and cava. For dinner, the restaurants provide a chef's special of the day, cold and warm starters buffet and dishes prepared 'on the spot', main course served at the table, with a vegetarian dish available, dessert buffet and cheese cart. There is a theme buffet twice a week. Guests may also dine at the 'Rodizio' restaurant (Brazilian cuisine) or 'Grill Palace' restaurant which serves grilled fish and meats on alternating days but prior booking is necessary.

The 144 one storey villas all have a foyer, one or two bathrooms, one or two bedrooms, hair dryer, living room, fitted carpet, telephone, central air conditioning, ceiling fan, mini-bar, satellite television, surround music channel, safety deposit box (for an additional charge) and a balcony or terrace. The villas have a garden, pool or sea view.

For those interested in sport, the Riu Palace Meloneras hotel has table tennis, a gym, two floodlit artificial-grass tennis courts and pool tables. Entertainment is in the form of live music and shows several times a week.
