I booked the holiday in June for two weeks in the Capri Aprtments for August and as Im sure everyone gets when booking a holiday, I was really excited! Then I read the reviews and panicked but I need not have bothered as the holiday was fab.

Me, my sister and a friend arrived at the Capri at around 11 p.m. and were met by the so called grumpy old man! He was not grumpy at all. He showed us to the apartment which we were over the moon with as we were told we would have an inland view but we were right on the pool side.

The shop/supermarket within the apartments was closed at this time but we walked around the corner and there was another supermarket where we got the essentials and everything is quite cheap.

The apartment was nice, it did have a slight musty smell but by the second day it was gone and it was quite clean. Sheets are changed on a Saturday and the apartments are cleaned every two days.

The pool area was lovely and also clean but you do have to get up early to save a sun bed.

The apartments are a wee bit out of the way and in a really quiet area but it's only a ten minute walk to Holiday World which has loads of things to do with a bowling alley etc. Then from Holiday World it's a five minute walk to the Faro 2 shopping centre which has loads of good shops and a few bars. Have to recommend 'Banjos' cocktail bar - really good and the staff are super - great entertainment.

It's really cheap to get a taxi (less than four euros) in to Playa del Ingles if you want a larger selection of shops and bars.

The only down side to the holiday was that it was the Spanish holiday period and there were a lot of Spanish families there. I would say 90 per cent was Spanish and none of the cleaners spoke a word of English.

I could write on about the holiday forever but to round it off, it was a brilliant cheap holiday and would definitely recommend the Capri to anyone who is looking for a relaxing holiday. I'm only back back days and I'm looking to see about booking again for next year.
