The Centro Internacional de Windsurfing Hostel of Pozo Izquierdo, in Santa Lucia de Tirajana offers guests the possibility to combine sport with a holiday. The CIW offers different services such as an hostel, restaurant, pool, disco pub, windsurfing centre, diving centre and adventure sports centre. Furthermore, at the CIW, several sporting events, such as the PWA Windsurfing World Championship take place.

The hostel of the Centro Internacional de Windsurfing is available to any guests, either individuals or groups, colleges, clubs or associations. Located opposite the beach for windsurfing, it is only ten minutes drive from the dunes of Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés, the airport and 20 minutes to the capital city of the island. The centre is surrounded by the protected maritime park of Pozo Izquierdo and the salt mines (which are still operational to extract salt).

Each room in the hostel accommodates eight people. There are eight showers for men and eight for women, with a separate toilet.

Other facilities at the Centro Internacional de Windsurfing include a television room, cyber zone with internet access, 24 hour reception and individual safety deposit boxes. The CIW has a swimming pool surrounded by a sun terrace and sun-beds, tables, showers, umbrellas and changing rooms with lockers. Water sports such as water-basketball and water-polo are organised for youngsters and adults. The use of the pool is accessible for everyone all the year round, from 09.00 until 20.00 hours. Special tickets can be purchased for one day, 15 days, a month or per season. The 'Calabrote' restaurant has views overlooking the sea and the swimming pool. The a la carte menu offers fish, sea-food or meat of the best quality, as well as Canarian and international cuisine. A special budget menu is available from Monday to Friday and there are special menus for banqueting services. Evening entertainment is also part of the International Windsurfing Centre and there are four bars.

The 'Hullon Store' is the specialised sport equipment shop for windsurfing, kayak and surf clothes and guests will find all the equipment linked to windsurfing such as boards, equipment, fin, screws, harnesses, riggings and shoes. Professional, intermediate but also second hand equipment is available. The centre has two equipped conference rooms with audiovisual systems.
