The staff at the Bitacora were fantastic and very helpful. The food was 100 percent with various dishes to choose from, maybe cater a bit more for children. The evening entertainment was great, something different every night and a room set up for the children for activities and games. The reps were uniting people to play activities through the day and people being awarded with certificates.

I would come back to this hotel again with more of my family. The only down fall was getting up at 7.30 to get a sun lounger for the day. I would suggest having the sun loungers numbered by your room number. Overall a clean, entertaining hotel with great staff, even the chambermaids.

Review title: "Bitacora Hotel Is Very Good"
Travel date: June 2005
This hotel was recommended to me as my parents stay in the sister hotel, Volcano. I found the staff in the bar of the hotel very rude and the bedrooms was quite small as my child had to sleep on a couch. I had to get moved from the first floor in my first week as my terrace looked over the main entrance and the noise of traffic kept us awake at night. We were then moved to the third floor and that was not much better.

The entertainment at night was very poor and we had to leave the hotel most nights to find some music. I would go back to this hotel but only if the entertainment was a lot better.

Over all I loved my first week but the second week I found people wearing soccer tops was crests on them, which I hoped I would not have to see as I am more mature now and go on holiday for peace and quiet and no lager or soccer yobs.

Review title: "Best Hotel About "

This hotel is absoloutly fab. I am 18 years old and have been going to this hotel for many years with my mum and dad. This year I am going with my boyfriend. You don't have to leave the hotel to be entertained. Everything you need is there. The food is amazing, the staff are great and the accommodation as a whole is amazing.

The beach isn't too far away either for water sports etc. and if you have young kids, there is loads for them to do and they are well looked after - me being one of them they looked after. I would recommend the Bitacora hotel to anyone and any age.
