"Spoilt By Some Guests"
Travel date:

Let's be honest with ourselves - if we have booked this hotel, we have paid a cheapish rate and we will not be staying at the Ritz. For the price paid, this hotel offers fair value but it has many rooms and I would not think about staying with a family during high season as it would be full of youngsters who have been drinking until 5 a.m.
We did experience some noise from returning drunks but it was bearable.
Please be warned - the real problem that we encountered was on the fifth day of our holiday when two or three coach loads of Spanish youths arrived for a football competition. The atmosphere changed in the hotel. The noise increased, the restaurant could not cope and the mess was awful. Some reviewers have warned of Brits being badly behaved but these Spanish kids were awful. We saw them breaking brooms and throwing them from windows, breaking into the games machines, smoking in non smoking areas and banging drums and shouting during meal times.
Although we enjoyed most of our stay, the reason why we will not return is this - on our final night we were racially abused by the Spanish teens and had several abusive and threatening internal 'phone calls made to our room. The hotel staff were completely unwilling to help or deal with this abuse that was aimed at a family which included a five year old!

We have been going to Magaluf now for five years. The first year we went we stopped in another hotel. The following four years we have stopped at the Royal Beach. Absolutely great, staff welcoming, rooms clean and spacious, food good, great position and cannot complain. Won't complain.

Just returned from a stag weekend to the Royal Beach. All facilities were available including archery and shooting.
Swimming pool was perfect temperature and very clean.
One small moan was the repeating all inclusive menu. Next year, I will return with my family. Lovely break.

"Royal Beach - Nice Hotel, Shame About Food"
Travel date:

Hi. I stayed in the Royal Beach hotel in Maguluf. There was me and my friend hoping to go for a lively holiday just for a week. We paid to go all inclusive but we were rather shocked when we arrived. We thought that when you book all inclusive, you actually get all inclusive. We arrived just after nine in the morning and by the time we checked in we missed breakfast but being all inclusive we thought we could eat all day if youu want but you must only eat certain times of the day. There was a beach cafe overlooking pool but you had to pay to eat, so we decided to wait till 1 o'clock in afternoon for our food that we already paid for. We were well disappointed with the food. There wasn't much selection at all. Same thing nearly every day and same in evening, nothing really changed.
We also got told that there would be hotel entertainment in our hotel every night. There wasnt any entertainment at all in the whole week that we stayed which was a shame really as there were loads of families with children.
Royal beach hotel is a lovely hotel with lovely clean rooms and fantastic views but just such a shame food wasn't up to the standards that we expected. The pool area was lovely, really clean, but had to pay for sunbeds every day. Seemed to be a different price but most of the time the price was euros. You had to get up quite early as sunbeds got taken up pretty quickly.

"Royal Beach Is Excellent!"

Royal Beach Hotel is excellent. Not much noise when we were there as other people have said it is very noisy. Two euros charge per day for sun lounger which I thought was wrong after how much we paid for the holiday.
We were self catering and never ate at the hotel so can't comment on the food. Towels and sheets were changed nearly every day.

"Most Noisy Place To Be"
Travel date:

I have been at Royal Beach seven times and this year was the last. Unfortunately, it is now only for teenagers and if you don't want to be woken up at 4 in the morning by British teenagers, don't go to Royal Beach.
The staff didn't care even if we complained a lot and at the end of the week they didn't even care to answer the phone in the reception when we called.
Also sad to see how the hotel was vandalized. It used to be a nice place to be and I can only guess why it is only a three star hotel now and why it lost its Iberostar name.

Amazing place to stay. Teenagers and party animals will love this place. I went last year and am currently planning another visit this year. My friends are trying to get into Martinique for a little cheaper but the Royal Beach is the place to go and I have to try and talk them all around from it! Please visit this place!

Lovely rooms, amazing view of the sea, perfect location - right on a very beautiful beach. The best part was the selection of food. There was a very wide variety for you to choose from and the taste of all was amazing. Couldn't fault any of it. The staff were brill and they couldn't do enough for you.

"Fantastic Apartment"

Excellent. Hotel, location, reception and catering/bar staff all of excellent standard. Ten lads, with a very large apartment each. I had six beds, kitchen, bathroom and living area with balcony. Were helped throughout our stay by concierge service who helped arranged a bus transfer to the airport.
Continental style buffet breakfast and evening meal was satisfying but not to all the lads taste. I enjoyed it though!
Definitely recommended as I'm going to the same hotel tomorrow, 23/05/07, so must have been good.

Good rooms, never had sea view, but television and kitchen. Clean and spacious, all you expect really.
Very nice, its part of the Iberostar chain and has a kids' pool and one for adults and sits on sea front with pool bar.
Now, I was half board and food was the best I've ever had, it was amazing! What was to choose from was outstanding.
I would recommend this to anyone and if you go and don't like it, e mail me and complain but I know you wont! Have fun.
