The five star Minos Palace Hotel is situated in landscaped gardens on a promontory by the beach, some 2 kilometres from the centre of Agios Nikolaos, on the north coast of Crete, about 55 kilometres east of Heraklion Airport.

The accommodation, at the Minos Palace, comprises 97 sea view rooms, 9 sea view bungalows, 14 sea view suites, 23 sea view suites with shared pools, and 4 sea view suites with private pools, each unit having a bathroom and a balcony or terrace, and being equipped with air conditioning, satellite television, a direct dial telephone, a mini bar, and a safety deposit box.

The facilities, at the Hotel, include a restaurant, an a la carte restaurant, bars, a taverna, a beach bar, a TV lounge, a 24 hour reception, room service, laundry service, shops, an internet corner and conference rooms for up to 40 delegates. The Hotel also has a swimming pool, sun beds and parasols, complimentary beach towels, a pool bar, a children's pool, playground and club, a fitness room, a sauna, entertainments, 2 tennis courts, and water sports. In the Hotel grounds is a small chapel, the oldest church on Crete.
