The four star Parador de Vilabla Hotel is set in a 15th century medieval tower in the centre of the 'Terra Chá' area, which originated from this fortress, home of the Andrades, the counts of Vilalba.
Facilities at the hotel include air conditioning in the restaurant, central heating, bar, bureau de change, conference suite, lounges, lift, parking, gym, sauna and piped music.
Rooms in the Parador de Vilalba are all equipped with satellite television, air conditioing, mini bar, safety deposit box and telephone. There are 13 double rooms and 35 twin rooms.

There are only six bedrooms in the fortified tower so you are most likely to stay in the extension which is pleasant and of the same standard as other Paradores we stayed in. Be sure to ask for the key to go up the tower to see the views. The hotel is OK for travelling on the French Route to Santiago but don't expect much from the town of Vilalba, which is disappointing. Perhaps this was the reason we spent more on our drinks bill here than any of the other Paradores we visited!
