The Hotel Orfeo was reclassified in October 2000 to a three-star hotel after undergoing refurbishment in January 2000. It is situated in the centre of the town of Viveiro, next to the historic quarter. It faces the main avenue and the back of the building directly overlooks the seaside promenade and the river. The Covas beach is just one kilometre away, the train station is 200 metres away and the bus station is 400 metres away.

This residential hotel offers five floors. There is a coffee shop, on the ground floor, which serves breakfast and lunch and offers room service, a lift, lounge, laundry room and front desk open 24 hours a day.

The Orfeo has 32 rooms with a total capacity of 60 people. All rooms have central heating, a telephone and satellite television. 15 of the rooms have a terrace, most of which have views of the river. Only two rooms do not have windows overlooking the street. All rooms have a bathroom with a mirror, bathtub and a hair dryer.
