The Kilimanjaro is a fantastic hotel! Would recommend for 18-30's though as it is mainly German teens! Fabulously clean. Spotless! Food was nice! Lots of great desserts!
Get down to the 'Beachcomber Bar' down past Burger King!

"Fantastic!"

Kilimanjaro Hotel, situated on Gran Consell on the far end of Arenal (near Aqua City), was a fantastic hotel! The reviews were awful, but the hotel is spotlessly clean. The cleaners were great.
The food was actually OK for a three star hotel! Lots of salad, and fresh fruit, and lovely desserts. Would definitely recommend!
Now, when we went, we enjoyed going to these bars - 'Joy', The 'Beachcomber', 'Hole In The Wall' etc etc. However, the 'Beachcomber' was our favourite.
The trip from Palma - Port de Soller is a must! Fantastic train journey up there! And the little connecting tram to the sea! Lovely.
Would definitely go back there! By the way, a couple of Spanish girls who worked in the hotel said Arenal was the worst place for pick-pockets (worse than Palma), so be careful!

This hotel was lovely and clean, the service and the staff were really good but the food was absolutely awful. They didn't cater for the English at all.
El Arenal wasn't a bad place. The beach was lovely with shallow water and white sand, but it was just like walking down Blackpool seafront.
If you are going to stay here, there is a great little cafe/bar just round the corner from the hotel called Antonellas where the food is brilliant, and the Sportsman bar is the place to be. All in all I would say this is a mainly German resort. I will be going back to Majorca but not this part!!
