The three star Bemposta Apartments were established in 1981, set in an old olive grove and are situated about 2.5 kilometres from the beach, 2.7 kilometres from Alvor and some 3 kilometres from Portimao, 65 kilometres from Faro Airport, on the southern coast of the Algarve in Portugal.

The accommodation, at the Bemposta, which was completely renovated in 2000, comprises 192 studios, one, two and three bed roomed apartments, and two bed roomed villas, each apartment having a bathroom and a kitchenette, and being equipped with direct dial telephone and a safety deposit box.

The facilities, at the Apartments, include a restaurant, a bar, a snack bar near the pool, reception, internet access, room and laundry service, a TV room, a swimming pool, with sun terraces, sun beds and parasols, a children's pool and playground, and two tennis courts. A programme of entertainment is provided.
