The two star Hotel Romantica is situated 100 metres from the Playa d'es Cabot beach in the the resort of Colonia Sant Jordi on the south east coast of Mallorca. The hotel is 40 kilometres south east of the capital of Palma de Mallorca and the Son Sant Joan international airport and a short distance from the centre of the resort where there are bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1970 and refurbished during the winter of 2002, the Romantica has a total of 245 twin guest rooms, which are distributed over six floors and set in 1,000 square metres Mediterranean gardens and sun terraces around a central pool area overlooking the sea. All guest rooms at the hotel offer a ceiling fan, en suite bathroom, telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box (at an extra charge) and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. Maid service is provided with a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Facilities at the Romantica include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange service, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, air conditioned restaurant offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, a games room, snack bars, laundry services, lounge and pool bars and an outdoor freshwater swimming pool with children's section, sun terraces and gardens with loungers and parasols. The hotel also features a children's playground, tennis court, pool tables, table tennis tables and a seasonal programme of daytime activities and evening entertainment for both adults and children.
