Stayed at the hotel with my wife and two children aged five and three. The room was OK but nothing special. The kids' mini club and disco were very enjoyable for the children and they had a great time on the beach and all the nearby play areas. The breakfasts and the bar area were fine for the family.

Everything was fine until the Thursday and our last night the Friday when there were large groups of lads and girls coming out to party which was great for them but not much fun for a family with young children. There was a lot of noise all night until 7.00 a.m., doors banging and very rowdy behaviour in the corridor. Although the children slept through, myself and my wife had two fairly much sleepless nights. Did complain to reception but as it was at the end of our holiday they really didn't care at all which was a bit sad as up until then we had a really great time.

Would recomend Palma Nova as a resort but as the Rosa del Mar Hotel is more or less on the edge of all the clubs in Magaluf, don't go if you like sleep.

Well where do I start. We walked into the room at around 7pm - clean room only to find that the patio door did not lock - this was fixed by the Scottish maintenance man the next day though. Tropical storms for the first two days so had to spend a lot of time in the hotel.

The indoor pool is cold but refreshing - the outdoor pool even colder than the indoor one so only went in for a matter of seconds. The gym seemed ok but a bit small - as for the sauna, the lights go off and you can't switch them on yourself so sit in the dark and watch you don't burn yourself on the coals!!!!

The bar was ok - food portions are tiny - bar staff a bit abrupt. When they weren't serving food they still had menus out so I went to order and got shouted at - was not impressed.

I have read reviews at holidaysuncovered.co.uk - these basically sum the hotel up - ok to sleep in if you are a group of rowdy men or girls but if you are a couple or family don't expect to get much sleep. At 4am - 6am they come in singing at the top of their heads, banging doors and on my stay there decided to see if they could break the patio doors - at this point I did complain to reception who then told me "to point it out to the manager in the morning". He wrote it in his little book and carried on listening to his radio (on one occasion he was asleep when we walked in at around 2am). I spoke to the girls the next morning to find out that others had complained and the people concerned had been warned - not bad service but what if I had been the only one to complain. Would they have warned them then?

Overall the hotel is ok but will probably look elsewhere in the future - great location, shame about the clientele.....thats what lets the hotel down I'm afraid.

Not bad if you do not mind being woken up by the tannoy every two minutes, which goes on solidly all day every day so I hope you don't need siestas as this is totally out of the question. Surprised by hotel star rating. I think I would probably have given it a two star and I'm not a fussy person. Staff were bored and showed it.
