The Gabarda Gil is small and basic but what else do you need? It was very clean and all the staff made us very welcome. Would recommend it to anyone. Thanks to all.

One star hotel, five star fun. Very clean, good food and excellent staff. Very helpful. Great for getting to make friends. Three similar hotels all close together run by the same lovely people.

It may only be a one star reference but I would give the Gabarda Gil hotel/hostel five stars for the staff friendliness and help. Great place for a holiday. Basic but great.

Well, I had a brilliant two weeks in the Gil. It's basic but what else do you need (24 hour bar) but I wouldn't eat in the hotel - I would go to the British bar next door to the Gil as it's good cheap food and beer and lovely owners (they looked after us).

Yeh, the pool is small but the hotel behind has a massive pool and you can walk in and use that if you don't want the pool. The beach is only two minutes walk.

I'm going in three weeks and I can't wait. If you want a cheap, loud holiday, then go here. I love it!

What a place to be! 24 hour bar, very friendly staff. We had some right laughs with the night bar man and he was mental.

The rooms were basic but clean and had cleaners in three times whilst we were there for a week. As it's only a small hotel, you get to meet lots of friends. A couple of nights we had no sleep at all because we just sat up talking to our hotel neighbours.

Definitely go again. Big up to the Gabarda and its staff. Miss you.
