"Bahia de Palma Nova Hotel Is Very Good"
Travel date:

First of all the hotel is a stone's throw from the beach, in a very pleasant part of Palma Nova. The hotel staff were all incredibly polite, very helpful and made you feel welcome and on holiday! The restaurant served up a good selection of dishes and a handy microwave meant that food need never be cold. I enjoyed a full breakfast and four course dinners each night - good value, decent food - unless you want gourmet menus or fish and chips every meal.
The room was clean, the air conditioning worked well, and all rooms were far enough back from the (not very busy) beach front road so that noise was never going to be a problem.
The pool was small, divided into two sections, but a great place to cool off and make friends with fellow bathers. An area with about 30 sunbeds was always quite full. If you want sun and lots of it, there was the solarium - a big open tiled balcony area on the first floor of the hotel - the place for serious tanners to go.
There was a 'poolside' eatery in the hotel which served up the necessary food and drinks to keep holidaymakers happy - the menu was not extensive and not very healthy - chips with everything, but this suited most Brits, including me!
The hotel had a well furnished library, most notable for its two internet booths - really good idea and not expensive. There was also a big television in the room. All rooms have satellite television, including British Eurosport and BBC1 and BBC2 - which was ideal to catch up on news and sport - perfect!
Look, the hotel is not full of kids, which may be good or bad depending on what sort of hotel you want. The hotel does not organise loads of activities. Of course your reps will sort out trips etc if that's what you want to do.
In conclusion, Bahia de Palma Nova is a small hotel with a small but ample-sized pool, it's in good condition, has excellent staff, provides good food and is in a superb location in Palmanova itself, which has excellent bus connections to Palma etc. I used the hotel as a base to travel to different parts of the island by hire car - which I rented prior to the holiday in the UK with AVIS. Their service was excellent too. There are some stunning drives in the west of the island, and great places to visit in the east - which I would recommend.
