The hotel was awesome, to say it was only two star. Every night we came in, the party continued on the balcony! I don't recommend you go unless you're under the age of 24 as you just won't keep up! We went to the Martinique on a girls' holiday and we were on it 24/7!

Just got back from my daughter's hen do at the Martinique! As you say, the hotel is fine for youngsters. Although the hotel itself was fine, I would have liked clean towels more regularly and bins emptied). The noise at the hotel in the early hours was to the extreme but I did expect this and didn't have any sleep for three nights.
It was a shame that some of the youngsters couldn't enjoy themselves without damaging things! I was a bit worried one night in case someone would set something alight.

The Martinique hotel was amazing. Rooms were clean when we got there but were not cleaned until we left. Every room was a party room which suited us as we were on a hen do. Definitely get a safe and keep the key on you at all times! BCM was amazing!

Just back from a stag weekend in Magaluf. Stayed at the Martinique. Bit worried at first after reading all the bad reviews about the place.
Rooms were clean, air con, spacious and had a fridge to keep the booze in!
Pool area was pretty big and was busy every day - bar right on the pool side was a well needed extra.
There's always something happening - someone getting naked, fire alarms getting set off, folk scrapping, parties, and just general noise.
If you're young and up for getting drunk and having a good crack with the troops, then the Martinique is for you!
Was there for four nights and it was utter carnage. Pure quality. Bonkers.

"Your Worst Nightmare"

I booked an apartment at the Martique and it was the worst mistake that I ever done! The Martinique is full of youngsters age 18-25 that are drunk 24 hours a day. Between the screams and loud music and people continuously exposing themselves, this is beyond your worst nightmare. I needed to call the security guy every single night, sometimes two or three times a night, resulting in some people being throw out. On my third night I went to the reception and demanded my money back because I couldn't tolerate another night without sleep.
They changed us to other room claiming it was quieter but when we got there, guess want? For a start, the shower was blocked and never fixed until we left, lots of cookery was missing and there were no pans at all, the toilet water was running day and night and we couldn't close the door, resulting in sleepless nights.
The apartments are clean but my advice is, unless you drink to the point of losing your memory at night in order not not hear the noise, do not stay in that hotel.
For a few pounds you can find a much better accommodation. Definitely not suitable for families with young children, couples and older people.

Can't knock Magaluf. Been there loads of times but never been to a hotel like this. The rooms were dirty, the staff were dodgy and we were broken into and the management didn't care. Apart from that, we had a fantastic weekend. Take my advice, do not stay at the Martinique hotel! Why is this hotel allowed to stay open after all the bad things that have happened there?

If you want to throw you money away, go to the Martinique Apartments. You don't need to throw it they rob it by breaking in your room whilst you're out and deny all knowledge! Whatever you do, don't hand your key in to the reception! They are so unhelpful when you are distressed when reporting a theft! Take my advice and go elsewhere!

Well, what can I say? You would not let your dog stay in the Martinique hotel. We had noise each night although on night four it went beyond even what I could have anticipated - someone hammering, throwing something at a door at 4 a.m., shouting and a little later more screaming and some one standing with his genitalia on show in front of some giggling girls in our corridor! I yelled at them and he scarpered! I have two kids, one of only seven and she was petrified of the noise. The staff, when I came down to complain, did not care.
We could not stand this hell hole any longer and booked flights home two days earlier than planned as this was intolerable. Do not stay at this dreadful place. Also, I have noticed ants in the room this morning - vile disgusting place. Thank goodness we go home tomorrow. There are other hotels in the area that I am sure are adequate - avoid this one at all costs.

"Martinique- Absolute Carnage But Pure Quality!"

A whole 42 of us travelled to Magaluf in June 2008 as part of our sixth year holiday. Me and another three of my close friends were a bit worried about staying in the Martinique after all the stories we'd heard. Got there and it definately wasn't as bad as what we thought! Security guard was a bit dodgy though - doesn't like you too be too noisy.
We hired a safety deposit box and never handed our key into reception - always took it with us when we went out. Pool was great and also clean. Didn't get a lot of clean towels so had to make do with what we had. With four girls sharing together, that was pretty hard but we managed to live with it!
The Martinique is situated in a quiet location, ten minutes away from the strip so the only noise at night was people coming in drunk and banging on your door, but hey, we're young and expected that.
Overall, my stay at the Martinique was great - a right good banter. I'd definitely go back but it's not for families or anyone looking for a relaxing holiday. Absolutely loved it.

I stayed in the Martinque hotel at the beginning of May. There were 11 of us on my hen weekend. What a fab weekend it was.
The hotel was basic but clean and the staff was friendly. Could have had more clean towels in our room though. It's a very noisy hotel so don't plan on having much sleep. The pool was ice cold but nice after a few hours in the sun. The music around the pool is good - everyone is bouncing.
The only thing we had trouble with was the boys next door as they kept on climbing over the balcony and trying to get into our room. God help him if he had fallen - we were on the second floor. Would I go again - yes - can't wait until next year.

My son and friend decided to go to these apartments, after only being there a few days, they got back from a night out only to find they had been robbed. They were not the only ones. They took money and clothes, mobile 'phones, leaving them with no money at all.
So give the Martinique a big miss. Get the tour operator were it hurts - in their pocket, not yours. So take this advice, go somewhere else. Not even a one star.

I would strongly advise that unless really necessary, please do not take valuables with you to the Martinique! If you are going to do this, then I strongly advise you pay to get a safe in your room. Me and my friend had an ipod with speakers (£250) and a mobile phone stolen while out for dinner and all doors were locked.

This place is probably the worst place I had ever been.
Magaluf itself was absolutely amazing. The night life was really good and bar staff friendly.
The hotel was awful. From the minute we got there we were being told people had been getting broken into. Friends we made had £2,000 stolen from them and seven other rooms on our floor were broken into. We were a party of four 17 year old girls and just wanted somewhere decent to stay and party at night. We had someone throwing tables, chairs, televisions and everything off the balcony. The staff, well the staff, couldn't give a moneky's about any of it.
Everything was broken when we got there - toilet, both locks on the doors and the maintenance men were completely rude! Wouldn't go to the Martinique if it was the last place on earth!

I repeat, do not stay at the Martinique! We had our two week stay cut short to ten days because the, as mentioned somewhere below this, 'beaters' came in and showed us what Magaluf is really all about. We hadn't even came home from our night out, been noisy or as ruthless as the other people staying there, but the night porter had to set those monsters off into our room. So that was it, we packed our bags and were on the first flight home. Other than that, the hotel is perfectly placed for night life, but its like sleeping in an ash tray. Stay well clear, please.

Me and six friends were so disappointed with the Martinique! The rooms were so dirty when we arrived. Our ceiling caved in with water which went everywhere, the water stopped working, the air conditioning never worked, the toilet wouldn't flush, we got our room cleaned once out of a week and when we asked the maid for clean towels, she screamed at us and was extremely aggressive to my friend causing her to have a sore foot. The security is shocking. They handed our room key to a random person and we found beer lids in our apartments when we arrived back one day and on one occasion, a Spanish lad just walked straight into our room and wouldn't get out! We didn't feel safe at all and was not worth the money! I would strongly recommend never to go to these apartments ever!

I had a really great time in Magaluf. The nightlife was excellent and the hotel was great too. The only disappointing things about the hotel was that the cleaners only came every second day and when we asked for more towels, they moaned about giving us them. I mean, there were four girls in one room and we needed towels! Also the staff were a bit grumpy!
The hotel is full of people who want to party so I wouldn't advise it if you want a quite place to stay or have kids. We didn't mind it as we were on a hen party and just wanted to party all week! Happy holidays!

I was very disappointed with this hotel. It looked so nice on the internet but as I found out, looks do deceive. The lifts to the rooms smelt of sick most of the time and our room was given clean towels just once whilst we were there. The maids had the cheek to leave their own dirty towels in our room.! There was no air conditioning available, hence me and my friends fried all week as it was far too hot. We visited the pool just the once and almost killed ourselves as the pool had a slimy film on it, obviously through lack of cleaning.

I would not advise anyone with a family to come here! I don't rate this hotel because of the amount of noise that goes on. It says in the welcome leaflet that noise is not tolerated. That's a whole load of rubbish. The hotel wasn't actually cleaned once you arrive in your room. We had blood on the skirting board and around different bits of the room! The noise didn't stop until about 7 in the morning! and apparently the male staff in the hotel do not tend to clean, as another of the guests was sick and left it in a pan in the lobby. We went to complain and he said he couldn't do anything about it until the next morning when the cleaners arrived. How pathetic. The pool wasn't that clean. They must've cleaned it about twice since we were there. The entertainment staff where quite good, but a lot less organised when things failed! But the good things were you're close to the centre of everything else, like "Pirates" - very good, the water parks and plenty of shops and restuarants!

Me and some friends stayed at the Martinique Apartments as we thought it was the ideal place from the adverts we saw on the internet. But once we got there we realized we had made the biggest mistake ever. The place looks amazing and great but you don't take long to find out it´s a real kip. There´s cockroaches the size of a fist all over and whenever you tell the staff all they do is shrug their shoulders. The rooms don't get cleaned enough and most patio doors are broken and they never seem to get fixed no matter how many times you report the incident so you have to carry all your valuables with you if you care about them. At night time its absolutely impossible to sleep and also due the negligence of the staff you might get blamed for something you´ve never done. Don´t exchange any money at the reception desk unless you feel like getting ripped off. Best you can do is grab your passport and go anywhere else to get a decent rate. Beware of the night porter and the security guard as they love to wind you up so they have a reason to kick you out of the place or call the so called "beaters" (very agressive police dressed in a green uniform). It was a very disgusting and disapointing well deserved holiday!!

The hotel was lovely. Because I was going away with a large group of young people, I thought the hotel wouldn't be that great as we didn't pay a lot. When we walked in it looked like a four star hotel! The hotel was in just the right location as it was quiet in the day but loud in the evening and close to the strip. Having the internet was a great idea as the pay phones didn't always work. There was only a few things we didnt like. Don't eat in the restaurant - we ordered two chicken nuggets and chips and a fry up, it took 45 mins and there were only two other tables with guests at them! Also the rooms didn't get cleaned enough. We often saw lads sweeping their balconies when we were geting ready to go out. The pool area was always clean and the pool bar made great chip butties! All staff were friendly, the security guard was a little crazy but we didnt see him much. I wouldn't advise people to take children to this hotel as it can get loud at night when everyone is coming back from the night clubs but it didn,t bother us as we were out late ourselves. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and I am already looking to booking next year's holiday here, even though I've only been back two days! Hope I have as much fun next year.
