"Condes Is Fantastic"
Travel date:
May 2009
Just come back from staying in the hotel Condes de Alcudia for one week on a all inclusive basis.
Food: for breakfast there was a full English on offer with a tea, coffee, milk and fruit juice machine. There were also different types of cereal on offer. For lunch there were burgers, sausages, jacket potatoes and chips. However, the chips got a bit repetitive after a while because they had them on offer everyday for lunch and dinner. For dinner, there was a variety of different foods such as meat, rice, pasta, fish, chips and lots more food. There was a wine, beer and soft drinks machine.
Pool, entertainment and games: the hotel had a paddling pool for toddlers and one other pool for everybody. The entertainment in the evening is fantastic. There was a variety of different shows for all ages - here are some of them: 'B.O.O.M.S', the kids' singing and dancing show, animal shows, acrobatic show, karaoke and bingo with a chance to win over 100 euros! During the day there were games which the entertainment team ran, They were extremely friendly and funny! These are some of the games: archery, bowls, water polo, bowling and lots more other games!
Hotel rooms: I stayed in a family room with my husband and daughter which consists of one bunk bed, two single beds pushed together, a dressing table, wardrobe and a safe. The bathroom was small and contained a bath with a shower inside it, a big mirror, a toilet and a sink.
The lifts are small and could only hold three to four people.
After due consideration, I would recommend this hotel to a friend and go back to the hotel. I would rate this hotel eight out of ten.

"Condes de Alcudia Is Quality!"
Travel date:

Our party of four people have just returned from a week's stay at the Condes de Alcudia. We are all between 21 and 25 years of age. Loved this holiday! Condes de Alcudia Hotel was absolutely great - excellent location, great food, absolutely overwhelming daytime and evening entertainment for all of the family!
The hotel is around 50 metres from the beach, which is gorgeous, it has white sand, clear blue waters and is ideal for families with small children as the water is shallow for a long way out. There are various beach huts all along the beach selling ice creams, drinks and food all day. The hotel is set back off the main road but central in the town centre and port area of Alcudia. The nearest shop is at the back of the hotel, ideal for the morning papers! There are many many many bars and restaurants which serve great food. I strongly recommend 'Tago Tago' as a place to eat, great kids entertainment plus live music from a professional band every night.
The food is a buffet style service, which is different every day, breakfast is always the same, the cereal, toast and fry-up! Lovely food, never two days the same! You can go up as many times as you want too! Which for myself and the other people I was travelling with was maybe twice sometimes! Never heard any complaints about any of the food during our stay. Fresh, hot food is bought out every couple of minutes. We originally booked as half-board but once we arrived at the hotel we upgraded to all-inclusive for 15 euros each per day, which was well worth it when we were spending over 30 euros per day just on drinks and ice-creams! Well worth doing this as you can eat and drink any time of the day between 8 a.m. and 11.30 p.m!
The entertainment crew, which consisted of Micheal and Belen, was absolutely amazing. From 10 a.m. until 11 p.m. there was non-stop entertainment including darts, 'javelot', 'killer pool', French bowls, rifle shooting, archery, pistol shooting, ten pin bowling, table tennis, water polo, water volleyball and water basketball. The whole day consisted of activities which the entertainment crew arranged. At night time there were various shows including a Mexican evening, Flamenco dancing and the 'Men v Women' show which I enjoyed! Every evening started off with a kids' disco which all the youngsters joined in with. Was great to see them dancing around copying Micheal and Belen! Then there was bingo which we all joined in with, even the men! Reluctant to join in at first but soon did when they realised the prize money was 140 euros! After the bingo is certificate time when the awards for winning the activities in the day are announced. Five certificates wins you a medal!
The only fault with this hotel I found was that the two lifts were quite small for four people plus bags etc. The rooms were very tidy and cleaned every day, fresh towels were put down and old ones taken away. Absolutely loved this hotel and the people who work within it! Have met some really great friends during our stay and will definitely be going back next year!

"Condes de Alcudia Buts"

What a nice hotel. Excellent position, great food, good entertainment, helpful friendly staff but it has two lifts and you could not swing a cat in either of them. Taking your bags up, then putting them in the lift and sending one person in with them because that is all that will fit. If you've got a double buggy, or a wheel chair then forget it!
The rooms are very clean and tidy, along with a nice bathroom, but the pressure of what hot water there is, is sometimes not enough to make the shower convert from the bath tap to the shower (and we had rooms on the third floor where you would expect a good head of water!). However if you can cope with this, then the food is excellent. We had half board and did not go hungry as there was always a vast amount of choice on offer. It is a buffet style and the staff work hard to keep fresh food available at all times, so no complaints there.
Cannot fault the position of the hotel. It is at the start of restaurants and shops and not far from the beach, just a short walk. It is also not far from the Alcudia Port, where in the evenings, stalls are erected making it into a market, with a lot of nice things on sale. The Alcudia beach is lots of lovely sand and never really gets crowded. If you have small children, then this beach is for you as the water is very shallow for a long way out, no sudden steep shelves. There is an enormous market on Sunday at the fort, which is on the way into Alcudia, which is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel. There are so many stalls that you could get lost. Without a doubt I would go back to Alcudia, but unless they sort out the lifts and the water pressure, we would not be staying at the Condes de Alcudia, which is a great shame!

I have just returned from staying at the hotel Condes in Alcudia. Prior to departing I read the critics choice of the hotel which filled me with fear so was pleasantly surprised with the high standard of cleanliness. Yes, the hotel's bedrooms have only two beds, TV very good, air conditioning and small shower room but hey, you just sleep in there.
The pool is on the small side but we never failed to get a sun lounger. Well, you may have to get up a bit earlier but the towels we left were never thrown off the beds.
The food was excellent. The party of four age ranging from 16 to 45 enjoyed the selection. Yes, maybe not like home, but they had a huge selection which we all savoured.
Only five minutes away from good set of shops, beach and pubs and restaurants. Local bus stop very near which took us to Inca market for 240 euros - 30 minutes away on a Thursday. A good kids' club and mini disco for the children and entertainment each night, possibly not fantastic, but talented.

"Condes de Alcudia - Great Value"
Travel date:

We booked a special deal via teletext which cost us £260 each for one week all inclusive and flights with Easyjet. As far as value for money is concerned I would definitely give it 10 out of 10. We were on the eighth floor with a reasonable view although not a sea view. The room was fine with a large balcony.
The food was very good with plenty of choice and the restaurant was never over crowded. The entertainment staff were brilliant and we were very impressed with the evening entertainment. Out of seven nights there were four professional acts, all of which were first class. There were also plenty of sports to join in during the day if you wanted, which was a great way to get to know other guests, most of whom were English.
The locaion of the hotel was brilliant and it was only a two minute walk from a beautiful beach and a five minute walk from the harbour which is great to walk around, especially at night.
We love Alcudia and we had a great time at this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to go back there again. The only criticism is that there are only two lifts, which are very small, which can be a problem if you are on an upper floor but it didn't cause too much hassle.
