The four star Bahia Almuñecar Hotel is situated 250 metres from the beach of Playa de Velilla, in the typical white-washed Andalucian village of Almuñecar on the Costa Tropical. It is one kilometre from the historic village centre, seven kilometres to the Marina del Este and 25 kilometres to the Cuevas de Nerja.

Inaugurated in 2006, this air-conditioned hotel offers guests 102 rooms, including two junior suites. Most of the rooms have a view of the village, while others look out over the sea. The rooms are all fully equipped with a plasma-screen television, wireless internet, en suite bathroom with a bathtub, hair dryer, centrally regulated air conditioning and central heating, balcony, telephone, mini bar and a safety deposit box (at an extra charge). Both junior suites have a separate living room.
