The rustic one star Hotel El Sombrerito is situated in the old spa town of Vilaflor, at an altitude of about 1,500 metres on the southern slopes of Mount Teide on Tenerife.

The accommodation, at the El Somberito, which was built in 1980 and renovated in 2004, comprises 17 double rooms and three single rooms, each having a bathroom and some a balcony, and being equipped with heating.

The facilities, at the hotel, include a restaurant, also known as 'Casa Chico' after the owner, serving local and home made produce, a television and reading room on the top floor, a sun terrace on the roof and a museum with antique gramophones and sewing machines.
