The 'Amanhavis' restaurant is a rustic restaurant, specialising in serving 'cuisine du marché'. Daily, the chef goes to the surrounding markets to find what is fresh and in season to create four daily changing menus. Hence guests can choose from the daily changing four starters, five main courses and three desserts. In the summer time, guests can enjoy the sunset sitting on the terrace surrounding the swimming pool.
The hotel has a selection of unique themed guest rooms, ranging from the Sultan Boabdil's Chamber to the Christopher Columbus Berth. The Sultan Boabdil's chamber: This room has an Arabic atmosphere with decoration according to the Moorish style. A silky canopy surrounds the twin beds and the Arabic tiles compliment the handmade Moroccan furniture. It has an Arabic tower, which has a view of the hotel terrace and swimming pool. The monastery's sanctuary: This room has a double bed and is decorated with statues hidden in niches, pews and angels. The catholic king's royal quarters: The atmosphere of this room reflects the emblem of the reign of Castile and Aragon with tapestries, a double bed with canopy and its crowns and portraits sculpted in the furniture. This room features many windows, which allow guests to admire either the sierra, the remaining stone structure of the Moorish castle of Benahavís or the hotel terrace. The astronomer's observatory: In this room, lying in twin beds, guests can watch the stars through the wide glass canopy roof with the help of the telescope. The Christopher Columbus berth: From the porthole of this room, guests can admire the Andalusian sierra. The room features maps, trunks, conquistador helmets and other seafarers' kit required to cross the oceans. The spice trader's caravan: This room features exotic aromatic treasures that guests can discover in a hiding place dug into the earth. This room is furnished with a double bed and oriental adornments. The horse thief's hideout: Large boots in front of the entrance give guests a first impression of this room. In this hideout, one can find, hidden by a rusty trap door, treasure chests containing jewellery, gold coins and personal souvenirs. In the headboard of the twin beds, guests can read the names of the horses stolen. The alchemist's laboratory: In this room, the twin beds are encrusted with semi-precious stones and the décor is the compilation of the elderly expert's wisdom. The philosopher's study: In the philosopher's study, a way of escape has been planned, a secret tunnel he could use in case of danger. The room is furnished with many works of wisdom, placed within the bookshelves and in the twin beds' headboard.
