The Magic Villa de Benidorm hotel is filthy and needs knocking down. There are cockroaches in rooms and bars. Hygiene of very low standard. We are claiming at this moment in time. Beware, photos do not give a clear impression of hotel's condition.

Review title: "Magic Villa de Benidorm - Don't Go!"
Travel date: January 2008
We have just spent the new year at the Magic Villa de Benidorm hotel. The rooms are disgusting and filthy. It is unsafe and unhealthy to stay here. My father who is 66, was mugged on the hotel steps and an old lady was mugged in the hotel lift. The heated pool was not working and neither was the jacuzzi.

The only good thing about this hotel is that the staff are friendly. As for it being all inclusive for 24 hours that is a laugh. After the bar shuts at midnight you go into the entertainments room and use the self service bar but you cannot see what drinks you are getting as it comes out of pumps that are hidden in sealed units. There is dried bread ham and cheese for snacks (if you are brave enough to eat it). I regret spending £500 to stay in this hovel for a week. My advice is stay well away!

Review title: "Magic Villa de Benidorm Was Very Poor"
Travel date: July 2007
The best thing about the Magic Villa de Benidorm hotel was the staff. They were friendly. Some of the entertainment was OK. The facilities were not very good, because there wasn't really any food to eat if you wanted a snack, say, in the night. What they classed as a 24 hour service was just a self service bar and you just had a choice of lager and four other different optics. It cost us over £2,000 to stay for two weeks in that hotel.

I would not really recomend this hotel to anyone. In my opinion the hotel needs a lot of money spending on it to come up to the standards that we expected or what we were used to. The air-conditioing was appalling. It was at the side of the TV! The worst thing was that the fridge was under the TV in a cupboard which didn't even work.

Review title: "Magic Villa Benidorm Not Recommended"
Travel date: July 2007
Hotel is old, grubby and overcrowded. Floors in public areas dirty. Pool area small and overcrowded. Rooms small, third bed stuffed in what was the balcony which has now been enclosed. Food OK but not displayed well due to lack of space. Dining room smelly and overcrowded, floors dirty. Drinks on all inclusive very watery. Bar area very confined. Staff very friendly and helpful. I would not recommend this hotel.

My husband and I with our 16 year old granddaughter stayed here on the 10th April-17th April for the second time. My husband and I then went back on the 26th May-2nd June! We are going again in September! This hotel is great. The staff are fantastic and friendly. Special thanks to Caroline on reception, Serge (her partner) behind the bar, the lovely chef (from Morocco), Lorna, the welcome lady and all the other staff who all make us so welcome.

The hotel is clean, has a central location and small enough so that the staff get to know you. The only faults we have are with the entertainment programme. It is not very good or interesting. Also the rooftop for adults only to sunbathe is lacking in facilities. There are toilets but you have to come all the way downstairs for any refreshment. It would be ideal for a fridge to be up there with water or soft drinks, as it gets very hot up there!

Any complaints are dealt with immediately by Lorna and resolved quickly. As this hotel is part of the Magic Group, all the other hotels in the group are available
to you wherever in Benidorm you are. There are also two in the old town.

We love Benidorm. There is something for everyone, whatever age you are. We have stayed in most of the hotels within the Magic Group and this was the best of them all. The food is also fantastic with varied menus to suit everyone. We cannot wait to go back in September, where we know our welcome will be assured and our stay as brilliant as always. A great place to be!

We stayed at the Villa de Benidorm in late January early February this year. Had a wonderful time apart from stag and hen parties who stayed just a couple of nights and could be quite noisy. The entertainment was all day and evening, with something for every one and apart from one waiter, all the staff were warm and welcoming.
