This accommodation has only one fault- it is at the top of a very steep hill. The problem is easily solved - a taxi to the top costs approximately three euros. Apart from that, the place is top class - excellent roomy accommodation, magnificent view, very friendly reception staff and beautiful marble reception area. All within yards of local shops, pubs, bus service and of course, the beach. If anyone complains about this hotel at the price we paid, then they are very hard to please. I don't want to meet people who moan about the place when they have booked a cheap holiday thank you! If you want my opinion- take my advice and go here.

Just arrived back from our holiday in Benidorm. Myself and my three sisters stayed in these apartments and we found them to be excellent. The apartment itself was very spacious and clean plus the view from the 20th floor was just fab! Would certainly stay there again.

I stayed at the Tropic Mar with my three children aged 16 to 23. The apartment was spacious and ideally situated for the night life, the beach and the shops. The steep climb up to Calle Bonn served as our workout for the day.
The staff were friendly and very helpful and the Spanish residents were polite and friendly if you made an effort to speak to them.
The view from the balcony took in both beaches and right round to Alicante on a clear day.

Had a fab time at Tropic Mar. You have everything on your doorstep, including the beach. It's very clean, staff are friendly and the views are great. It is on a hill but it's good exercise. Would definitely stay there again.

"Tropic Mar Apartments are shocking!!"

Me and 13 of my friends stayed in the Tropic Mar and to be honest, it was the worst accommodation I have ever stayed, the staff were disgraceful. Whilst we were there, on the second day, our apartment was broken into and all the safes were crowbarred open and emptied. When we informed the lady on reception, we were told it would cost us money to use the 'phone to contact our rep, then we were told to go and put our shoes on, which at the time was totally unacceptable. When we asked about the camera at the front of the hotel, we were told it hasn't worked for ages.
I could go on for ages but the other thing was our rooms never got cleaned in two weeks. We were told self-catering means bring and dispose of your rubbish yourself. When another couple reported their robbery, the receptionist said this had started happening just as we got here, in other words blaming us. To cut a long story short, the 'Tropic Mar' needs to be pulled down so no other English get to go through what we did.

"Tropic Mar Is Fab!"

I have stayed at the Tropic Mar apartments twice and neither time let me down. Very clean, spacious and close to everything but quiet at the same time. I had a small incident on my second visit with a couple of cockroaches but was assured this was normal and the building was regularly fumigated. These apartments may not be suitable for families with children or people with walking disabilities as it is up a steep hill but this did not put me off my holiday and if anything made me sweat off some excess flab! I highly recommend these apartments to anybody. I am going back to Benidorm this year but this time allocated on arrival so hope I get to stay at Tropic Mar for a third time!
