The Tinache apartments are basic, clean, friendly and in a fantastic location for the gay traveller. So close to the Yumbo, that I popped back one night just to drop my jacket off then went back out again. They are situated between the Yumbo and the Citta centres (nearer the Yumbo), a ten minute walk from the Riu Palace which is the entrance to the Dunes and the treck across them to the gay/nudist beach.

I got lucky, they had over booked and so they put me in a private bungalow next door. Result.

The two of us, both in our late 40s, were allocated the Tinache Hotel on arrival (Airtours package). We arrived in the early hours - 02.30 - due to a delay in the UK. The hotel bar was still open and they treated us well.

The room was a one bedroom apartment and was clean and well fitted. There was a lift if you needed. The staff were helpful and there is a snack-bar poolside. There is a restaurant in the hotel complex although we did not use it. The pool was clean and sunbeds were ready available. The Tinache is central to the Yumbo centre and a vibrant night life. You don't have to walk much further to be in the many other bars and entertainment centres. The beach is probably a mile away but a pleasant walk in the sun. So all in all a good value venue.
