The hotel is just a bed and breakfst, clean and tidy. The staff are disappointingly unable or willing to serve, as if it's our pleasure to be there! The restaurant and bar decor is stark, dirty and un-inviting.

The food, is terrible - pan fried sea bass with king prawns - had to spit out the prawn, the fish was not fresh, the sauté potatoes were oily and greasy. My partner had omelette and the waitress couldn't find it on the menu. There were only ten items on there! The omelette was very tasteless and seemed to be scalding hot, as if it was from a microwave.

Poor show for the Wheatsheaf! I'd heard good reviews a year ago, but I think the chef has now left, and maybe the bar staff are making the 'food'.
