"Ralph's Stag"

Me and 15 of us stayed here for our friend's stag do. For what we paid, the hotel was amazing. We stayed for four nights but never saw the maids once, but so what for £5.50 a head per person, per night? The hotel staff were also very friendly, the pool was clean as were the rooms and a great location too.
I would recomend 'Joker's' bar for breakfast as its right next to the hotel and good value for money. We all had an amazing time and would definately go back to the Sol y Vera.

Myself and eight mates have just returned from a funny weekend in the Sol y Vera. We went there to celebrate my stag party.
The rooms are basic but really good. The pool area was clean so we spent most of our time in there having a laugh! Also, the beach is only five minutes walk. The staff are really friendly.
Would recommend it for parties and we will definitely be booking to go again next year as the night life is really good!

"Sol y Vera"

This is the worse place I have ever been in my life. We got out of the cab and just stared at it. Went inside and the room was filthy, had carving in all the wood in the kitchen from other people who have stayed and when we told the manager it was not suitable, she was really unpleasant. The place stank and I don't think the bed throws had been washed all summer and the bedroom window didn't lock. It was really bad and only stayed at the Sol y Vera for five minutes.

Ten of the boys from our town on a 18th bash. Wanted cheap digs so we could use money to party! We picked the right place. Had a fab, fab time. Rooms great for sleeping,
Magaluf great for you know what. We even found the best place to eat (and ladies looked after us just like mum does) 'The Cottage' - out of the reception, top of road turn right and its opposite MacDonalds, next to the chemist. Best breakfast and the roast dinners are too big but sets you up for the night! We will be back!

"Sol y Vera Amazing"

My friends and I had an amazing time in Magaluf and were really pleased that we chose the Sol y Vera apartments to stay in!
Sol y Vera was about five minutes from BCM and was 200 metres from the beach. The staff all seemed helpful and friendly.
We really enjoyed our stay and were pleased with what we got for the price we paid!

We had a nice week staying at the Sol y Vera. The apartments were nice and clean. Really good location for beach, shops, bars, supermarket, gym and just a three minute walk to the BCM (fantastic nightclub!)
For what you pay, this hotel is really good value. I would definitely recommend it for everybody!

"Sol y Vera Apartments Are Basic"
Travel date:
June 2007
Apartment was basic and reasonably clean. Plenty of towels and bedding. It was not cleaned while we were there but we had changed rooms due to very noisy teenagers next door. Were on the ninth floor but still had street noise and again young men playing loud music on balcony in opposite hotel! Lifts worked luckily, did not use pool area as we are an older couple and young ones were around it. We love Magaluf and are booked for same apartments in October but may decide to change if we can.

Hello all holiday makers! Our stay was to say the least eventful! The hotel was full of people our age and was a wicked place to party! Although one night a group of girls swung our beds out of the balcony and so we resorted to sleeping on one mattress and a small sheet. All in all a wicked holiday. Recommend to all youngsters! BCM, BCM, BCM - don't be a stinge! Peace.

Magaluf is the most amazing holiday I've been on! We went as a group of five lads, all around age 22.
The Sol y Vera is lovely. Reception is very welcoming, staff friendly, very cheap and location was really good. We've spent really nice days there! Hope to come back next year!

"Sol Y Vera... Our Comments"
Travel date:
September 2004
On arriving at the Sol Y Vera our party of four was met with surly reception staff, vomit smelling lifts, grime and pubic hair in the bathroom of our apartment from previous guests. The moment we stepped into our apartment we found the floor flooded due to the fridge being defrosted and not cleaned up. Despite our party being four people, the room was equipped only for two, i.e. not enough linen, towels and pillows etc. The kitchen, living area and balcony were also very dirty. We suffered 11 hours of electricity failure in our room on our first evening as the power cut was not treated as an emergency despite this being at night. A catalogue of other failures, mishaps and lack of customer service too lengthy to explain proved to us that the Sol Y Vera is one place we would not only NOT recommend as a holiday accommodation, but would say avoid it like the plague... its dirty, dismal and the staff are in need of an attitude transplant and strong lessons in manners.

"Wicked Time!"

Six of us stayed in the Sol y Vera in August 2004. When we first arrived we were all singing and we didn't get a good reception from the hotel manager. Apparently one of the lifts got stuck, so we thought we had ended up in a right dump.
As the holiday went on our perceptions changed. It was such a friendly atmosphere, our door was constantly open day and night and people would just wander in and out. We met some great people over in the Sol y Vera.
As we were on the top floor, we could play realy loud music and we did so every night until someone put a complaint in but this didn't stop us! I would not say it was ideal for families but its great for groups of friends!
Even though the swimming pool isn't great, there's still enough room to sunbathe and swim in the pool. The drinks are also cheap.
The only disadvantage of this hotel was that the maid did not clean our room ONCE!!!! We had to rob our own sheets, towels and toilet rolls off the trolley when the maids cleared peoples' rooms when they had left. However this was fun!
Well all I can say is I had an excellent stay here and would definitely go back again, especially to annoy Andreas (one of the hotel workers!)

"Dangerous, Noisy"

Rail along the top walkway broken/repaired with masking tape. Needless to say children had to be supervised when going along it to use pool. Three occasions found glass in swimming pool. Grandchild cut his foot, reported to hotel receptionist who appeared nonchalant. Teenage grand daughter woken by stranger entering the room in early hours. Other holidaymakers also reported similar.
Drunken hooligans throwing glasses from upper floors, resulting in broken glass on our balcony. The only thing that made our holiday bearable was the friendliness of Pat and Karen from the adjacent bar ?Double Top'.
