Myself, husband, daughter and son-in-law went to Sol Pelicanos for one week half-board at the end of September, beginning of October. The hotel was amazing - clean rooms and fabulous food with plenty of choice. As for the pool, it was the nicest pool I have ever seen.
The hotel entertainment was not to our taste but the hotel was situated within reach of all the cabaret bars and night life.

Just enjoyed ten days at the hotel Sol Pelicanos. Excellent hotel – spacious, clean, uncluttered, fantastic food choice at breakfast and evening meal, friendly, efficient staff and well situated for beach and numerous clubs.
Hotel entertainment at night well thought out but preferred to go out. Pool area vast with many sunbeds (pity lots of them had broken back rests). Quite busy even though mid March.
Would not like to be there in high season as the only thing that spoils this hotel is some of the people who stay there. People of all ages seem to leave their manners and consideration at home when on holiday and hotel management appear to let things go and do nothing to quieten guests, especially during the early hours of the morning. However, out of season there is not much to complain about. Will visit hotel again, I hope.

I have always stay at Sol hotels when I go to Spain, but was so disappointed with the Ocas. The Pelicanos food hall was very good that the last few days we paid to eat there. There was no great selection of food at the Ocas. I have stayed at the Pelicanos a few times and have been well pleased with it, hence had no problem going to the Ocas. I thought that you could use both hotels to eat but was wrong. I would like to hear your thought on this.

"Sol Pelicanos Ocas Hotel Was Great"

This was our first holiday in Benidorm at the Sol Ocas Hotel. We were a family of six and enjoyed every minute of our 11 day stay. Room cleanliness we couldn't fault, staff were great, good food but didn't like the lager (Campo Cruz as it tasted like soapy water.
Benidorm fabulous and can't wait to go back again this year, if not, definitely next year. Had a great time. See you soon. Staying at the same hotel.

We had an excellent seven day stay at the Pelicanos. Friendly helpful staff, food good selection, cleanliness of hotel excellent.
A couple of small things in the room not good i.e. the drawers at bedside not clean inside.
The hotel seemed to be very well run with plenty of everything for everyone. We are a couple around 60 years old and we found the position excellent, near the sea and bars etc but not rowdy in March. Also near to the weekly market and the indoor market. We would return tomorrow.

On the plus side, the hotel was clean and majority of staff were friendly.#
On the minus side, the lifts were the worst I have ever been in and every time I got out, my back ached as they bounce around all over the place. At evening meal they will not allow you in unless you have trousers below the knee (I do not mind dressing for dinner but it is only a self service cafeteria). Many people were turned away every evening. When evening meal is open, it is 18:00 and still very hot.
Drinks at the hotel are extortionate compared to the rest of the resort - 2.40 euros for a small slush puppy, same for a small can of Heineken. I would not recommend or stay at this hotel again, although I would certainly go back to Benidorm.

At the Sol Pelicanos Ocas hotel there was road works outside. The beach was very close and rocky but further up the beach it's not rocky. There are massive fish. One swam past my head. The food here is brilliant. I ate 14 lamb chops in one night! The employees are friendly and the pool is great. I am going this year too but haven't booked it yet.
