"Accident Around The Pool - 24 July 2009"
Travel date:

We would like to thank everybody for the great help and support holiday makers and staff gave when our mother collapsed round the Mirlos swimming pool on Friday 24 July 2009. Although after spending the night in a private five star hospital, mum fully recovered; but the incident was very scary - heat exhaustion. People should always add salt or fresh lemon when drinking water and avoid the sun between 12 and four in the afternoon - children under ten years and the over 60s. A big thank you to Alison, Les and family and Nicky and Jason for their kind support during our stay. Once again a big thank you to you all.

The best holiday I have ever had! We went to the Sol Mirlos with four people for two weeks, all inclusive. And I must say, I'd happily do it all again! I only came home today and I really didn't want to go!
Everything was just fantastic! The food, the hotel, the pools and the people! The Tordos has now finished being refurbished and it looks amazing!
The entertainers were fantastic. They got everybody involved and made us all feel welcome. I'll definitely go back just to see everybody again!

Was the best holiday I have ever been on! Went a couple of years ago with my family and I loved it then. Went back for a week with five girls and had the time of my life. The staff are great and everyone is lovely. The food is fab and I'm a fussy eater!
The pool is great and wasn't too full of kids at the beginning of the week, which was good for us. The entertainment is great and the hotel is in a great location - literally two minutes from the beach. The local shops are also two minutes away. Would definitely recommend the Sol Tordos to anybody of any age. Going back as soon as I can get myself there!

"Tordos/Mirlos Great Holiday"

Had a great holiday here. Everything you need on site. The staff are very helpful. All the facilities you need. The Mirlos is the quieter of the two hotels so choose between that and the Tordos which is fun and quite noisy.
Only bit of a gripe is the lifts. They are small and sometimes you can have a bit of a wait.
Going back this August and taking all the family - they will love it. The young ones will enjoy the kids' club and discos and the toddler will love a visit to the baby rock club.

"Great Hotel"

After reading some reviews on this hotel, we had a few reservations, but on arrival we were very pleasantly surprised. The rooms were very clean and linen changed regular, the food was very nice but like most places it tended to repeat the same foods. The staff were very friendly and the location of the hotel was fantastic. About two minutes walk from a beautiful beach and close enough to walk into Magaluf which we did regularly, even with our seven year old child who really enjoyed it.
We will definitely be returning to the Sol Mirlos/Tordos again next summer.

This hotel is fab but you must stay in the Mirlos not the Tordos (but Tordos having refurbishment over the winter). We stayed for 12 nights late June - early July and had a fab time.
Beach only short walk away. Ask for room at rear of Mirlos as this faces the beach if you have a high enough floor. The Tordos is mainly for families and so very noisy and crowded round the pool. The lifts and rooms are a bit on the small side but OK. Well, we only sleep in them and the food, well, its absolutely fab. They freshly cook your steak as you like it. We are going again for August bank holiday.

"Sol Tordos/Mirlos"

After going to the Tordos/Mirlos as a child, I decided to take my two children age nine and two. The kids enjoyed the kids' clubs and the entertainment, so we booked again for August but went for two weeks this time. We originally booked half board and upgraded to all inclusive when we got there (in June) when we went in August we just booked all inclusive.
We stayed in the Mirlos both times as this is a quieter of the two hotels. All the daytime activity happens around the Tordos, (you have to be up early to get a good sunbed). We will definitely go back again as there was everything for the kids. The staff were friendly and made you feel welcome. The rooms are a little small, however you don't stay in your room for two weeks.
The hotel is centrally located for the shops, beach and local attractions. You will really enjoy your holiday.

There were eight of us in total - four adults and four kids. We were a bit apprehensive before we went, but the hotel was lovely so there was no need. We found the hotel overall really nice. The standard of cleanliness was second to none, the food as we went half board was excellent. The lifts, as we were led to believe were small, but they accommodated us and we didn't find that we needed to queue, as also led to believe. This was our first time at this resort and I shall certainly be going back with the family. Overall rating excellent.
