Review title: "Great Apartment!"
Travel date: June 2007
I have just returned from staying in the Barcelo Palmanova aparthotel and I thought these apartments were lovely, very clean and very spacious and by far the best self catering apartment I have stayed in. The apartments are just minutes away from the Magaluf strip where all the bars and clubs are and also minutes away from the beach. Yes, the apartments are up a hill but the hill is not as bad as I thought it would be, well I managed it drunk every night anyway! I

I don't think this hotel is really suitable for families as there is a lot of noise throughout the night of people coming back from clubs between 3-6 a.m. I am so impressed I will be returning to stay next year!

Review title: "Great!"

I stayed here with 11 of my friends we were all 16-18 years! The staff were friendly and easy to get along with and we had a laugh! The hotel was always clean. None of us could believe how big the hotel was! We were all lucky enough to get an apartment facing onto the pool which was a bonus!

We literally came out of the hotel, one minute down a hill and we were on the strip with loads of clubs, the best one is BCM, and very near to a beach, about five minutes away!

Would recommend more for younger people, rather than families, as the noise may not be suitable for little kids! But overall loved it and can't wait to go back next year!

Review title: "Barcelo Palma Nova Aparthotel Was OK"
Travel date: July 2004
I thought that this hotel was not very good. First of all the bad thing was that most of the rooms faced back to the other hotels and the balconies were very bad as you got hardly any sun. The bedrooms were very small and there was not a lot of room at all. It took you a while to get to your room and there were a lot of lifts.

Also, the pools were very, very cold and the indoor pool was not even indoor but only outside covered with a roof and was freezing. The tennis area you couldnt even use and the entertainment part was very small indeed. The bar closed at 11 o'clock which was riduculous.

The hotel was placed right at the top of the hill which made it very hard for people with a bad heart or eldery people very difficult to walk. There were no taxi's around for you to catch so you had to walk.

The good points were that the staff was all brilliant and the reception area was very big and was suitable to wait there for departure or arrival. You are placed very close to the beach, shops and bars which made it very easy and just outside your hotel was the 'Spar'.

If I had a choice I would not go again as this was not up to my expectations. I am now going to try Benidorm this year and hope I enjoy it more and hope to be satisfied with the rooms we get.

Review title: "My First Holiday"
Travel date: August 2003
The hotel had great pools, four in total and a games room.
Nice rooms, good entertainment.

30 seconds away from the beach, restaurants and club life.
It was my first holiday abroad and it was great.

Review title: "Lovely Hotel"
Travel date: May 2003
This hotel is lovely. The pool area always had plenty of sun loungers available. The pool and pool area was always clean. The reception is large, airy and very well presented. The rooms were also very clean and well equipped.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool bar served snacks and drinks throughout the day and night. It usually stopped serving drinks about 12pm.

We are a group of young singles and although this is a family orientated hotel, we had a great time. It was a great base. The children were occupied all day and night. There were games though the day and a disco and games etc at night. It wasn't until night time that we realised how many children there were!

It is ideally situated a stones throw away from the beach (although it is down 101 steps - yes we counted them) but we didn't mind that too much as we usually stayed round the pool) and from the bars, nightclubs and shops. It is a couple of hundred yards away from the beginning of the Magaluf strip which suited us perfectly (and the main reason for us choosing this hotel). There is also a Spar right next to the hotel which stocked most things.

We enjoyed our holiday so much we have booked to go again in a couple of months (May 05). We would highly reccomend this hotel.
