Had a great stay. Apartments easy to find, people very helpful, the rooms are lovely, staff more than helpful and surroundings stunning - in a great area. Would definitely go back! Didn't have children with us but would highly recommend it to anyone! Will miss the Siesta I very much!

"Siesta Apartments Not The Best"
Travel date:
August 2006
We booked this holiday ourselves and saved quite a bit. However as the saying goes 'You get what you pay for'. On arrival, check in was quick because we had our own transfer and didn't have to compete with anyone else. However when we arrived, at our room it was still being cleaned and we were sent away. No apology from anyone here so not a good start.
The studio apartment was basic and very small. It did have air con which was a bonus. The balcony was small and sitting out was spoilt by a disgusting smell which emanated from somewhere far too regularly. The room was quite well equipped but had very little storage, only one wardrobe for all four of us. The bathroom was quite big and had everything you could need except storage, just one shelf above the toilet. So be careful to put the lid down or your toothbrush just may fall in.
There is a pub underneath this hotel where the entertainment is held. This is an OK place to eat and is good value.
One of the worst things about this holiday was all the sad English people who want to get up at 7.00 a.m. to queue until 9.00 by the pool to put their towels on the sun beds, then go out for the day and not use them until 3.00 p.m. in the afternoon (what is that all about?). The pool here is very nice though and there is a splash zone for the children. Although there is that smell again around here.
The worst thing about this hotel is the English woman on reception. She is not very polite and sometimes very rude. All the Spanish reception staff are however very helpful.
Alcudia itself is very action packed and very commercialised but there are some great places to minutes walk from the Siesta Apartments. The 'Jolly Roger' is worth a visit and there is a really good Italian at the top end of strip. If you have children, the 'Peach Pit' is an absolute must and the food is good. It's a bit smoky inside though, so sit out. The water park is about 20 minutes walk and is worth a visit but buy your tickets in the hotel so you don't have to queue. If you go to the market, there is a regular bus service but get a taxi back as it is complete chaos at the bus stop and only costs a few cents more.
Overall we had a nice time but the accommodation was a big let down. I would go to Alcudia again but the old harbour side as this is more up market. I would not recommend the Siesta if you require a bit of class. It only deserves two stars.

Well, I've stayed at the Siesta many times and absolutely loved every single time! The pool is absolutely amazing! The staff are really friendly and helpful! The rooms are so clean and nice and bright! The night time entertainment is very good especially the bingo! If you take my advice, go to the Siesta. It's the best place to stay!

"Siesta Is An Excellent Base"
Travel date:
August 2005
I stayed at the Siesta Apartments with my 16 year old daughter and 13 year old son. We were impressed with the overall appearance and cleanliness of the apartments and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The apartment was big and we had everything we needed. The situation was good, although it was a long walk to the beach. Lots of excellent restaurants and shops right on your doorstep.
The pool was large and clean and even in August was never crowded. My only complaint would be that our apartment was above the Red Lion bar which was very noisy at night and we could hear the music etc until 1 a.m. every night. A shame, as there was nothing else that would have stopped it being the perfect base in Alcudia.
