The three star Hotel Stella Maris is situated some 100 metres from the main beach, and a short distance from the centre of Blanes, on the Costa Brava. The hotel is about 50 kilometres from Girona Airport.
The accommodation, at the Stella Maris, which was renovated in 2002, comprises 90 rooms, each having a complete bathroom and a balcony, and being equipped with satellite television, a telephone and a safety deposit box.
The facilities, at the hotel, include a restaurant, 24 hour reception, wi-fi internet access, laundry service, a games room, a television room, a swimming pool and terrace. Bicycle hire can be arranged at the hotel.
Board basis available at this hotel is half board.

This would be my fourth visit to Stella Maris over some years. I used to stay at the camp sites near by, but found the hospitality, good servcies and food too much of a distraction from the tents and flies etc. The staff have always been helpful.
Stella Maris offers a relaxing way to enjoy the local enjoyment from the Spanish and British bars that are plentiful. I recommend all trying the local Spanish bars in the old town. An additional pleasure is the ticket and coach trips to Barcelona home games, only available during football season, strangely enough.
After a night out on the town I have always enjoyed returning for an alcoholic night cap in the bar. I now visit every year and am going again in September 2007.
