We have just returned from a two week holiday at the Clipper hotel. A very cheap holiday! Staff were friendly and helpful! Surroundings were clean! Rooms were cleaned and beds changed daily! Pool area OK! Also, I love fish so thought the food was OK too!

As a whole, I was impressed with the hotel for the cost! But, night times and trying to get some sleep was a very different matter! What a nightmare! The hotel had a lot of young teenagers who all came alive after midnight. Our room was above the main road which did not help matters - traffic was continuous with horns and car radios blaring. Gangs in their hundreds would head for the town screaming hysterically. The noise did not calm down all night. Some would return back to the hotel, bang every door, run down corridors and throw chairs and toilet rolls from their balconies into the pool. People on the balcony above us were even shooting a pellet gun at passing cars and people in the bar area. The good news is it does start to quieten down again about 6 a.m. My advice to anyone going to this hotel is - if you need any sleep, take earplugs and sleeping tablets and my advice to the Clipper is to have better security. Not all your guests are wanting to party all night. Some of us would have appreciated a few hours sleep at least.
