What a great place the Jardin del Mar is! Made to feel very welcome. It's so clean and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Also the local restaurants and bars were great. This was our second visit and we will certainly be back again.

I have never stayed in a hotel where the staff were as unfriendly and rude as I found them to be at the Jardin del Mar. Upon arrival we were greeted with a 'What the hell do you want' demeanour, as if we were uninvited intruders upsetting their daily routine. No please or thank yous or so much as a smile during our entire stay.

One night we returned to the hotel and we were asked for our room numbers. The man at the desk took down the time and I simply asked why he had done so. 'Evidence!' he snapped. Another night we returned to the hotel and one of my friends burst out laughing upon hearing a joke. 'Shhhhhh!' the man at the scolded loudly, a look of utter contempt on his face. If we were being too loud (which we were not, my friend merely laughed as we made our way to our rooms!) he could have asked us politely to keep it down like any half decent receptionist worth their salt. Another such night my friend was yelled at and told to leave the hotel because he had made a shushing sound on walking passed the desk in mockery of the man's ludicrous behaviour the night before.

On our last night we asked the same man if we could pay to stay in our rooms a little later than the 12 o'clock check out time, to which he snapped 'No! 12 o'clock out!'. We asked another more obliging staff member again in the morning and they told us it would be no problem at all.

The hotel itself is clean and comfortable but that counts for nothing when it is staffed by such downright inhospitable people perplexingly filling positions in the hospitality trade. I'd go as far as to say the hotel should do itself a favour and sack one or two of their reception staff, and give their jobs to people who actually like people.

Just back from a great holiday. Really enjoyed my stay at the Jardin del Mar apartments. We paid extra for a sea view room but when we arrived were told we would have to wait until the next day. That wasn't a problem as we were offered free breakfast and dinner.

The staff were very friendly and the apartments very clean. Maid service great.

Great night life - loved the square across the road - something going on every night. Don't buy drinks from the 'Brazil' bar in the square as the staff are very rude and unfriendly. Apart from that we had a brilliant time and would come back next year.

Wouldn't stay here again if it was free. Full on foul mouthed people and screaming kids. Reception staff unfriendly. Never asked if we enjoyed our stay - just as well.

Rooms were OK, clean, maidservice was good but on the whole will never go back to the Jardin del Mar.

Poolside beds have no mattresses and is always busy with screaming kids.

On our arrival at these apartments, we were told that we had been double booked for one night and I wasn't too happy as I was recovering from chemo. They put us up in another hotel for one night and we went back there in the morning. The reception staff were very apologetic and gave us an upgrade (cancer card comes in a treat at times!).

Apartment was amazing with a top floor terrace that could have held around 100 people. Was planning this holiday to be a nice relaxing one to help me recover. It ended up a total party for the full week.

Santa Ponsa is an amazing place and if, like me, you like to party with lovely Irish guys, this will be your ideal holiday. The people we met were amazing. The pubs and clubs were amazing and the resort and beach fantastic! I liked it that much I've book to go back June 2006. Can't wait! Get yourself to Santa Ponsa if you love good drink and like their Irish and their music.

These apartments are top notch!!! Very clean and very nice staff, nice location also. I was very impressed when I arrived in Santa Ponsa. So impressed that I will definitely go again! Santa Ponsa has a great night life!!

Very impressed with hotel. Appartment very clean. Made very welcome and well situated. We booked hotel over the internet and were really impressed for the money. We're booking again this year!
