Hotel Coronas Playa

Opened in 2000, the four star Coronas Playa Hotel is situated in a seafront location and the nearby beach Playa Bastian and the local shops and bars are only a short distance away. The resort centre is situated one kilometre from the hotel and buses run to the resort centre, Arrecife and Puerto del Carmen every 20 minutes from the bus stop 70 metres away from the hotel.

The hotel offers a choice of garden villas, superior and standard rooms, which all have a balcony or terrace, bathroom, colour satellite television, safety deposit box and air-conditioning which functions during the day. The third bed is a pull-out settee or fold up bed. The garden villas, which are situated in a Canarian style garden, some with sea view, accommodate up to four people and have a separate lounge area. Superior rooms are those with full sea view, loungers on the balconies, tea and coffee making facilities and bath robes.

Facilities at the Coronas Playa include an internet corner in reception, pool area with two heated swimming pools with sun terraces, two poolside snack bars, gymnasium with sauna, one tennis and two squash courts, table tennis, darts, pool table and beauty centre. From early evening, guests can enjoy their favourite drink in the 'Monkey Bar', inspired by the famous New York bar, with live jazz band performances several times a week. The 'Monkey Bar' also offers wide screen televised sporting events. Guests are also invited to spend the evening in the entertainment marquee 'The Pavilion', where the entertainment team provides a varied evening programme, supported by professional acts. The hotel's restaurant serves buffet meals and a varied menu which offers vegetarian dishes, amongst others. There are regular Canarian, Spanish, Italian and Caribbean theme nights, as well as a weekly gala dinner.
