The Son Baulo was built in 1968 and refurbished in 2005. The hotel can accommodate up to 477 guests. It has 251 bedrooms, 225 doubles, 20 singles and six suites. All rooms have air conditioning, bathroom, telephone and balcony. Many of the rooms have sea views and there are cots and extra folding beds available, if required. The hotel also has one room with facilities for disabled guests.

Facilities at the Son Baulo include a lift, restricted areas for smokers, garden/terrace, jacuzzi, sauna, three function and convention rooms able to seat up to 200 people and equipped with high-speed internet connection, children's playground, swimming pool, sun terrace, hairdresser and games room. The hotel has a café-bar and restaurant, both with disabled access, open to hotel guests and the general public alike. Here guests can enjoy typical local produce, drinks and organic foods. The hotel also organises special theme nights for its guests.
