"Regente"

This was mine and my family's second visit to the Regente. The reason for our second visit was because of the children's entertainment on a night, which my kids loved. How disappointed we were this second visit - no games like last year, just if you were lucky a kids' disco until 9.00. Many nights we had to go elsewhere for their entertainment.
In general though, we still enjoyed our stay at the Regente. Staff friendly, food OK too and clean rooms.

First time in Benidorm. Went to see what it was like.
The Regente was a great hotel, the food was great and the staff were very helpful.
The location was just right for me and my wife, near enough to everything but not too near to be disturbed with the night life.
Only slight downside is the lifts when busy and the walls of the rooms where a bit thin.
We liked it that much we are going again in December and hopefully next February.

We stay at the Regente up to three times a year. The rooms are plain and simple but room is serviced and towels changed daily.
Reception staff Juan Manuel, Roberto and Vicente are a credit to the hotel and themselves. Vicente and the bar staff couldn't be more helpful. Antonio and Pedro and the staff in the dining room are also a credit to making your stay worthwhile. The food has improved since the arrival of a new head chef. Victor the jovial DJ is on the ball. The new manager Pablo loves to hear any comments you may have. It must be the best value for money hotel in the resort.

"Warning To All - Please Read"
Travel date:

Hi all. This is a warning to anyone going abroad to Benidorm. Don't get me wrong, Benidorm is a wonderful place to go on holiday, my warning is about one of the hotels. My family came home from Benidorm yesterday, 17th October 2006. They hired out a safety deposit box in the hotel room, which held £390 in English notes, then a further £100 in euros. Supposedly there was only one key to the safety box, which my parents had at all times, yet the money was stolen. This has to have been an inside job, because obviously the hotel are the only people with keys. Also my dad's car keys got stolen to with an immobiliser. All together, with the money stolen and then the amount it is going to cost for my dad to replace the locks of his car and buy a new immobiliser, they have had about £600 stolen.
They saw the security guards going in and out of holiday makers' rooms on a regular basis, looking very suspicious. The hotel staff want nothing to do with you either. When my parents told them they had been robbed, the receptionist basically told them they were lying as there was only one key. Obviously paying to go on holiday to their hotel is not enough. I would strongly advise anyone of thinking about going to the hotel Regente to maybe think it over well, but if I was you I would find yourself a better hotel.

"Fab Hotel"

My stay at Hotel Regente was really good. I would go back here again. I had been to Benidorm before and stayed in another hotel but this was by far a lot better. The rooms are very clean and kept in good condition; I could not pick fault at anything in the hotel.
The food was always fresh and had a wide range of variety, although sometimes it was better to go out for a meal for a change of scene.
For those who have mentioned about the loudness of teenagers, well I'm sorry but what do you expect? People do not go on holiday to please others. They are there to have a good time, so maybe you should think next time and not get a hotel so near to night life; that is what Benidorm is known for, after all.
Those who are thinking about visiting Benidorm, I will pre warn you about men such as the 'potato men' and 'monkey men' - they are nothing but thieves so watch your belongings and stay safe.
There was a party of 17 of us and was really good, it is not what you think about the hotel, it is what you make of it. Brill Hotel! Recommended! Victor is WICKED and is lots of fun!

Great time. Food overall was good. Entertainment every night and Victor was great with the kids. Ours were 13, 13, ten and nine. Very helpful staff. Must commend the cleaners who made sure the rooms were spotless!
Near everything but just far enough away not to be annoyed by late night music. Going back 2007.
P.S. Pool is ample and you'll get a sun bed if you get out by 8 a.m.

This place is old fashioned, very basic and not very clean. Our dirty linen and towels were rarely changed, there was so much noise from teenagers in the middle of the night and the food was nothing special.
The only good thing about the Regente is the pool! There were many other unhappy families staying at the Regente whilst we were there, and I will never go there again.

We had a fab time at Benidorm. The hotel was great, the staff were very polite and helpful, the food was good, it was very clean and the entertainment in day and night was tops. Victor, the entertainment manager, was brill. He was there for the kids and adults,
This is the sixth time we've been to Benidorm and I cant find any bad points. We love it. We will go back again soon. Fab.

Oh my goodness, what a horrible place! The most basic hotel ever! There was a lot of noise, the rooms were so basic and our towels were replaced with equally dirty ones. The staff are rude and arrogant, the food is just rubbish and the whole place is totally outdated.
Don't even bother to try and complain, because your rep won't care. When we got there, she was screaming in the street at two teenagers who were being thrown out for doing drugs! Classy place this isn't. Go to the Diplomatic, if you want a great hotel with nice food. Benidorm is a great place to stay, but the Regente is the worst I have ever been in.
