Review title: "Hotel Samba"
Travel date: May 2006
Myself, fiancé and daughter stayed at the Hotel Samba for two weeks in May. We arrived in the middle of the night and our first impression of the hotel was brilliant! Until a couple of days later. The food is disgusting - we went all inclusive and found ourselves eating out every day.

The entertainment during the day and night is strictly for the Spanish as we asked if we could play darts in a competition during the day we were told no! Only Spanish. The ‘Victory Pub' is not all inclusive, neither is the poolside bar. The all-inclusive area is a little corner in the main room - the rest is for the Spanish who did not buy a drink all night, but they get preferential treatment over us. The bar staff are ignorant and don`t talk to you except for Stefano.

The pool is freezing and the kids' pool is filthy as well as the children's' play area. One day we saw a member of staff dip his brush into the pool and then sweep the floor with it!

The rooms are o.k, although it says they have air conditioning and our room didn't. I would not recommend the Hotel Samba to anybody and will not be staying there again!

Review title: "Samba Aparthotel Is OK"
Travel date: June 2005
It is for older people not for families with young children(if they like ballroom dancing they will be ok).

I would not stay there again. The sleeping arrangments were terrible. I went self catering and there was one bedroom and me and and my partner have a seven year boy so we had to put the mattress off the settee in the bedroom as they expected him to sleep in the living room by his self!!!!!! I did report it to my rep but nothing got done about it.

Review title: "The Holiday"
Travel date: October 2004
Apartment was nice. The pool too cold and you need a open bar where you can just sit and talk to friends. The Victory was too noisy and you couldn't hear yourself think.

They could put some scales in the lobby to weigh your suitcase to make sure you're not over.

Overall we enjoyed the holiday and Lloret de Mar is great. We would come again, maybe not to the Samba though.

Review title: "Samba Aparthotel Is Brilliant"
Travel date: August 2004
We stayed at the Samba between the 6th and 13th August. The hotel is clean, food is excellent, staff are wonderful, plenty of entertainment and is near to two beaches and the town. Our only complaint was the family room was cramped with no air-conditioning. I would like to add a personal note to the receptionist who was on duty on the 12th August in the evening. My daughter Jenna was taken to hospital after a fall. She rang an ambulance and spoke to the paramedics as we don't speak spanish. She was a godsend and deserves a payrise! It was very frightening not being able to communicate so could you tell her we are very grateful and will never forget her. Jenna was fine on the way home - back to her cheeky little self!! If there is a chance could you let me know that this girl gets this message! Thanks a million for a very enjoyable holiday in a fab hotel!!

It was great. The entertainment was fabulous and everything. Well, I didn't think you could beat it. All the staff had always a positive attitude. The reps were great so I would just like to say thank you for making us feel welcome.

Review title: "Samba Aparthotel Had It's Pitfalls"
Travel date: June 2004
It's a nice place to go if you're looking for a break. The weather is warm and the pool cool. My only complaint would be the toilets; they never have any toilet in paper in them.

Review title: "Samba Aparthotel Is Great!"

I thought the hotel was brill. My wife loved it, the staff are fantastic. The staff were so helpful even when I had dropped my wedding ring down the blocked toilet. Just great - I would go back there any day.
