"Royal Star Is Very Good"

The Royal Star is a very good hotel. Clean rooms, good pool area, the bar staff always helpful and very polite. Have been there three times in all, twice this year.
The only bad comments about the hotel is the food. The food was cold and not very well cooked. The snacks were better there but there are enough places to eat in Lloret.
The weather was brilliant, very hot.

Would not advise anyone to go anywhere near the Royal Syar hotel. Balcony view was overlooking the cemetery and smell coming from the kitchen was nasty. Stay away from here, the Royal Beach is much better. As for the entertainment, it was rubbish.

"Great Hotel"

Just got back from a weeks stay at the H Top Royal Star hotel - brilliant. Weather not too bad, a couple of cloudy days, maybe should have gone earlier.
Nice clean rooms, very friendly helpful staff, lots of Spanish and Italian people staying there, so that's a good sign. Food very good, something different every day. My two sons enjoyed the snack room in between meal times.
Could have been more entertainment on for 12 year old but maybe winding down for season now. Five minutes walk from centre of Lloret and also Fengals. Overall excellent holiday. Recommend to anyone.

After reading many reviews, I was really pleased when we got to the hotel. It was really clean and both bar staff and dining staff were really friendly. The rooms were kept to a very high standard with maid service every day.
The food was a bit disappointing as they had no kids' menu but always something you could get to eat. Would go back to Royal Star.

After reading many comments on this hotel, I did not know what to expect. Well, how wrong could all these comments be! The hotel was clean, cool and very nice. The staff were always helpful and polite. The food was varied to suit all and the drinks were great.
One down side was one of the pools was closed, which we were not informed of. We enjoyed the night entertainment, and you must go to the medieval night as this was well worth ten Euros.
If you have booked this holiday, don't be put off by all the bad comments you have read, you will have a good time as long as you don't want a peaceful holiday.

I have read many reviews and must disagree with the most critical. At the risk of being repetitive, clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, wide selection of good food, considering the large number of guests, many nationalities and dietary needs. All tastes were well catered for, good and wholesome food. Disabled access good.
Location suited our needs with easy access to town and surrounding attractions.
Smoking, whilst a problem, was no different from other spanish venues visited.
Got bargin price one week AI £169.00. Money well spent.
Would recommend and indeed return there myself.
