First impressions of the hotel were good when I arrived at the hotel at 4.30 a.m. At 8.00 the next morning I was wakened by 30 young boys and girls in a brass band. They played for two hours. I was not impressed. This continued for one week.

I was staying on half board. For the two weeks I was there I only ate in the hotel twice because there were so many flies in the restaurant it was disgusting. I complained but they said they could do nothing. Also the food was cold or luke warm and it was mainly German food.

The hotel was mainly German and French except one English couple. Because the food was dreadful we and another English couple found ourselves in bar 'Tia Maria' where we could stuff our faces with great English food, cheap beer and speak to people that understand you. Also, we found ourselves asking them questions you should ask your rep but we did not have one because she did not show her face because the hotel was closing and there were only four English people there.

After a week we found out that we could not stay in Luna Park until the 23 October because it will close on the 22 October so we had to move to Hotel Royal Sun for one day.

All in all I was not happy with Luna Park. The reception staff were nice and helpful and the cleaning girls did a good job but the bar girl at night was ignorant and the beer cost three euros 50 for a pint and the hotel's entertainment was non existent. It is a shame for the people in the hotel that try to make your stay good but they should warn future English guests that its a mainly European hotel and don't come to Malgrat after September because its a seasonal resort and it closes until spring.
