Our fifth visit to Fuerte and first half board. On arrival we were concerned to learn that we were overbooked and would be in the "Bungalows" for the first two nights. These were actually large spacious, clean, well appointed, very quiet, fully self catering apartments each with two private sun "traps" including a beautiful view over the beach and hills. We were so awed we asked, and were able, to stay there the whole two weeks (apartment 44) still taking advantage of the hotel facilities as well as the Bungalows pool, shop, etc. The bungalows really were absolutely superb in every possible way, even the most critical tourist would be hard pressed to find a problem.
The Hotel itself was clean, sharp, never overly crowded with helpful pleasant staff. Restaurant extremely good with so much choice it was daunting including free champagne at breakfast on a number of days. Beach access was almost perfect and as usual with Fuerte the wind was challenging but Solavento beach (100yds stroll) was.....well, as it is! Costa Calma OK but nothing special, apart from the local supermarket visits we were happy to spend the whole two weeks either in the apartment, sunning on the balcony, around the pool or on the beach. Great, relaxing holiday, will most definately stay there again.
