Review title: "Well Good!"

Just got back from Calella Palace and I must say I enjoyed every minute of my six days there. I wish I could have stayed longer. The weather was bad but we had two full days of sun. The staff in the hotel were very kind and the food was delicious.

We went to a small pub called the 'White Horse'. I have to say the staff there were really friendly. One of the bar staff, I have to say, was stunning!

I recommend this to all ages - ten star rating from me!

Review title: "Nice!"
Travel date: August 2008
Just got back from a seven night all inclusive holiday at the Calella Palace and have to say it is a nice hotel. Great for families with young or old kids. The food was brilliant, loads of choice and always something different (recommend getting a bottle of wine with your dinner - free if you're on all inclusive). The hotel itself was lovely and clean, and bearing in mind we were there in high season at its busiest period, the staff were really good too. My wife and I do feel four stars may be a bit ambitious, but it's certainly a lot better standard than many three stars we've stayed in. The two drinks at a time rule is only a problem if your sole intention is to get wrecked and it didn't bother us in the slightest.

The thin walls. Yes, its true, but we found if we kept the windows shut and our air con on, it wasn't quite so bad and our neighbours were really good (TV off by midnight etc). We certainly never had a bad night's sleep there anyway. The lifts. If you can bear it, go in the glass one between the two entrance doors in the reception area! A lot quicker and more regular than the other two lifts.

Calella is really nice and a lot bigger than we thought, but well worth a good look around. Also, if you want to visit Barcelona and The New Camp, go with the hotel's excursion trips as we saved a fortune and saw loads of Barcelona! All in, a great hotel and lovely resort! Well recommended!

Brilliant hotel. The rooms are always clean, a number of swimming pools and one indoor heated swimming pool, gym and sauna and most staff are polite and friendly.

Only complaints are that the people working at reception weren't particularly helpful but other staff, e.g. bar staff/waiters are very friendly (one of the waiters was fit!) and another slight disadvantage of the hotel would be that the walls in the room are very thin and so you can hear your next door neighbours loud and clear.

There's always food so you never go hungry. Breakfast wasn't really varied but lunch and dinner meals were very good. Friendly atmosphere and there's always something to do.

Another good point is that the location of the hotel is very close to the shopping area and beach so you don't have to travel miles - it's only a short walk.

Overall loved the weather there, loved the hotel and thank you to the helpful staff at the H. Top Calella Palace who made my and my family's time enjoyable!

Review title: "H Top Calella Palace Rocks!"
Travel date: October 2007
I came back from Calella Palace two days ago [Wednesday 24th October 2007]. I thought it was simply the best. The food was delicious, the rooms were absolutely clean and the staff was very friendly.

The Animation Team were very respectful and enjoyed the company of the kids. There were kids activities during the day and every night at nigh time there was a mini disco.

It is good for the adults as well [even though I am not one] but there is a roof top with a private swimming pool for adults to enjoy and a gym downstairs.

I would definitely recommend the Calella Palace to other people. Ten out of ten. That's not how the Calella Palace looks. it's been upgraded so it looks nothing like that picture. It looks even better and nicer!

Review title: "H TOP Calella Palace Was Fantastic"
Travel date: October 2007
I've just come back from there yesterday (12th October 2007). Thought the staff were well mannered and fantastic. The animation team, Rey and Christina, were absolutely brilliant, funny and on the ball.

The food was OK, hit and miss. Where you had a good selection of lunch, the dinner would be lacking choice and vice versa. They also need to cater more for children under two years old where the meals are concerned.

All in all, we had a brilliant holiday and want to go back again next year. Thank you, H TOP Calella Palace.

Calella Palace was one of the best hotels I've stayed in for a while, especially for all inclusive. The price was so good even if you're not that fond of the food and drink. You can afford to eat out and drink but Callela is quite expensive for food, not as bad for drink though. There was a large variety of food, not all as good quality, but what do you expect for the price. There was always something for everyone although my boyfriend only eats fish fingers and chips which there was plenty of on the kids' counter. The snack bar was nothing special but who needs snacks with a full breakfast and two other meals eat as much as you want. With it being a chain of hotels you can even try eating out in one of the others - try a different resort every night and not spend a penny. We were told when we were out there that Calella Palace had the best food and drinks. Drinks were good for AI but can get boring though.

The best part was the jacuzzi on the roof. No children allowed with a bar serving alcohol as well. The only down side was the entertainment was not always up to much. A lot for children and the shows were quite basic - great party games though. The barmen could of been a bit more cheerful but I suppose would you be, working all those hours in that sun? Overall a really nice hotel.

Lots to do in Calella, loads of shops with shoes and bags for the women to spend money. Would definitely go back there. In fact, I'm looking at the moment for a cheap one in October.

This most definitely has to be the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. I stayed with my mum, boyfriend and brother.

The rooms were damp, poorly decorated and only one light bulb worked throughout our entire stay. The rooms were dirty and rarely cleaned; we ended up buying cleaning products and spent half a day scrubbing (great way to spend your holiday)!

So upset that I chose this pit. I have been on some very expensive and very low budget holidays in my life but the H Top Calella Palace hotel certainly scores the highest in disappointment. I have been all over the world and even third world countries put on a better show than this. What a horrible thought to leave with.

The food was horrible, the staff was horrible and the hotel is horrible! Be warned, don't go there!

Paper thin walls, the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. On top of that, they failed to tell us hundreds of teenagers from various countries descended on the hotel for a sports event, 99% of whom were left to do whatever they wanted to do. After numerous complaints from many families, nothing was done.

When I stayed here, it was only for a week and it was a nice place to stay but the waiters, well some of them, are a bit much they stare all the time, try to chat you up and when they are out themselves, they like to get a bit touchy. So when you are just trying to enjoy your hoilday, they spoil it. But apart from that, its a good place

Review title: "10/10 For Osiris"
Travel date: July 2004
Me and my five friends stayed at the Osiris Hotel this summer. It was our first summer abroad together so we were quite disapointed with the night life there. 'The White Horse' was a wicked place to hang out (we were there every night) and it's literally two seconds down the road from Osiris.

The hotel itself was ok. Rooms basic but ok because we were hardly ever there. The room terrace was BRILLIANT (no little kids) because it was strictly over 18's. The unlimited booze was also great. The hotel could appeal to all ages, however walls are very very thin so you can hear everything!!

The staff were lovely, a few of the male waiters a little too friendly with all the young girls!

Overall we enjoyed our stay although we won't be visting again as a gang because it's not that lively!

Review title: "Osiris Hotel Is Great"
Travel date: May 2004
All of my family stayed at the hotel last year. There were six adults and one child. We had been there the year before and decided to go back. We found all staff really helpful and friendly. We enjoyed it that much that we are going back again this year same time.

The rooms were basic but clean. There was room service every day, always clean towels. The food was basic but there was always some thing that you could eat. The booze was always on tap - you could drink all day if you wanted. Entertainment was so-so but you could go to the other hotels if you wanted.

If you were all inclusive you could go to the Waikiki or the Olympic Hotel as they were part of the all inclusive deal. You could also go to the medieval night free of charge. The kids will love it, so overall we thought the hotel was brill.

Review title: "Osiris Hotel"
Travel date: September 1998
Stayed at the Osiris late September/November 1998 and are returning 10th September this year. The hotel was very, very clean and the restaurant was beautiful. The hotel on a whole was just what any age group would want out of a holiday. There is only one thing which, in our opinion, could be improved and that was the entertainment in an evening could have been better, although it was not too bad. I cannot remember whether there was air conditioning in the rooms. All I can say about the hotel is that it must be good for us to return.

These opinions are those of HotelStreet visitors and not of HotelStreet.
