Mum and I were there for a week. Excellent stay. Extremely friendly and helpful staff in particular Oxana (bright and bubbly blonde receptionist) who bent over backwards to help you and always had a smile on her face. Bar staff great. You could not wish for more.

We went to a couple of H.Top Hotels on different days and the free bus turned up well on time to take us and return. Food was fine and if you didn't like it, there was always something on offer or other restaurants about. Evening entertainment great too. Rooms clean and comfortable. Plenty to do. Shopping, beach and plenty of markets about.

The only complaint was sometimes the lift didn't work and we were on the third floor and had to climb.

We are already planning our next trip back to this same hotel and I have already started recommending it to others. A holiday well worth remembering. Thanks all at the Planamar for making it so good.

For a three star, this hotel was brill! We had a great holiday! Nice food, lovely staff, clean rooms, a very homely hotel.

The hotel and area was beautiful and plenty to do. This holiday had the beach, shops, clubs and it was a very relaxing holiday! Hopefully going back in June! Can't wait!

We stayed at this hotel for a week with two children under ten years old and we had a very good time. Everybody was so friendly, staff and other holidaymakers.

The food was not so good but what the hotel lacked in the restaurant it was made up for with the lovely atmosphere of the place and it would certainly not put me off going back. Big thanks to Linda on the reception and all the other staff who made our stay at the Planamar very enjoyable.

I thought the Top Planamar was fantastic and as for being a forty year old hotel, it is brilliant. The staff were very friendly towards me as I was disabled but could get around in my wheelchair. Some of the staff were excellent to name name a few: Paco and daughter, Ahmed, Linda on the reception, in fact credit to all the staff and don't forget the cleaners who who keep the hotel spotless they. They did a very good job.

I have no complaints at all, but just one, that the ramps for the wheelchairs were a little to high for me plus not wide enough, but I got by with a little help from the staff. The resort its self was clean but the ramps going off the path to the road need a little repair. The resort is ideal for wheelchairs as its all flat around Malgrat de Mar. Will be coming back again in a few months time. Love the hotel and resort. Keep up the good work and thank you for a lovely stay.

If you enjoy good food, friendly staff, relaxation and general peace and quiet, this is the place not for you. Food was terrible, staff were miserable (but not all), pool was too small and full of idiots, rooms were o.k., especially if you want to go to sleep at night and can put up with all the kids screaming and racing down the corridors. You could hear everything going off from your room it was that well insulated from the noise - not!.

People were leaving, after we had just arrived! Fully inclusive. Take lots of money with you as you will be eating out a lot. Apart from that, Malgrat de Mar is nice. Barcelona only about 80 minutes away via train and metro. If you have very young children avoid this hotel like the plague as they will never get to sleep.
