Opened in March 2004, the two star A and O Mitte Hostel and Hotel is located in the geographic centre of Berlin, only a short walk from the river Spree and the East Side Gallery, close to the Märkisches Museum, the Alexanderplatz and the Ostbahnhof.

Hostel guests can choose between single and twin rooms, as well as multi-bedded rooms with six beds. All single- and twin bedded rooms are en suite. Rates include bed sheets and towels. For all other rooms guests may bring your own linen or sleeping bag, or alternatively get bed sheets at reception. Non smoking rooms are available. Hotel rooms have a bathroom with shower and toilet and television. Apartments have bunk beds for children. Hotel rates include bed linen and towels.

Facilities at the A and O Mitte include an internet corner, souvenir shop and a bar open from 7.00 to 12.00 and 18.00 to 02.00 hours with pool tables, table football and different gambling machines. There is also 24 hour reception and seminar rooms.
