"Awful Filthy Hotel!"

When I arrived at this hotel, I was told my room would not be ready until 4 p.m. I then came back at 4 and was told I had 15 minutes to view this room and decide if I wanted it. I took me nearly two hours to get over the shock of the dirt and shabbiness of this awful hotel. Their webite states that the hotel was completely renovated in 2002 but I think someone stood in the middle of it and just swung a child's dirty nappy around the hotel!
The bedroom consisted of the following: 1.Two new badly cut slabs screwed to the ceiling to cover an obvious break/leak/hole/dent in the ceiling. 2.The old built in wardrobe had cheap, torn, rusty vinyl matting covering the base. (30% of which was ripped up). 3.There was dozens of stains around the table/wooden tabletop that were clearly never cleaned. 4.The paint around the worktop was all cracked and peeling. 5.The large old radiator beneath the window had approximately three to four inches of dust, dirt and goodness knows what else in between each width. 6.There are two very low down single beds in the middle of the very small room. You would nearly be sleeping on the floor! There was no bathroom in the room. We had to go down the hall to a single shower basin for the whole floor to share and the single toilet was further down the corridor! The view from our window in our bedroom was a side wall of another building that was unused with broken windows.
The second night we stayed, the bedroom ceiling leaked rain water (I hope!) and destroyed my suede boots and clothes. The only compensation to this was I was told at 11 p.m. at night that they could put us up in another hotel 20 minutes away but that the room there would not be ready until 2.30 a.m. in the morning! This was the worst hotel I have stayed at in my life and I would urge anyone thinking of staying here to avoid this place completely!
The one mark that I gave to this hotel was for the new television they had in the room. It's still one mark too many in my opinion!
