I went to Benidorm with my dad, his two friends, and my younger brother and I didn't enjoy the holiday much, but me, mama and my two sisters are currently planning a holiday in Benidorm and we will definitely stay at the Veracruz.

The bad points were that the swimming pool was freezing cold, a couple of the lifts sounded a bit dodgy and the window in the bathroom was not frosted, so when you're in the shower, if someone looked from the hotel next to it, they could see everything! But the balcony was a very good size, the views were literally breathtaking and the apartment was OK for around a week's stay. I was very glad they had a washing machine, which I think is crucial for any holiday apartments or hotel. Overall though, the apartment was good. It was comfortable and we had plenty of hot water, but anyway, just the views and the distance to the beach did it for me. I would recommend it if you do not have a huge budget.

We arrived at the Veracruz apartments late as the flight was delayed. Foyer OK, lifts OK. Put key in apartment door and what a let down.

Apartment was clean but very shabby. No gas, shower loose, washing machine rusty - not what we're used to when going on holiday. We've had brilliant apartments in the past. This was not brilliant. Complained the next day and got it sorted but washing machine was rubbish. After second night we were both bitten by mosquitoes. View from balcony was lovely but apartment 11-d certainly wasn't. Met another couple whose apartment was brilliant. All I can say is, if you go to the Veracruz, stay well clear of 11-d.

We stayed at these very spacious apartments in May - June 2008 and I would highly recommend them to anyone. We booked in November 2007 so we got a really good rate. We have been to Benidorm many times and these are the best apartments we have stayed in by far.

The apartments are right on the beach and although close to the centre, they are very quiet at night. The views from the large balcony are outstanding. They are spotlessly clean. Towels and linen provided. Good size bathroom with very good shower and a bath - loads of boiling water. Very large, looked new and fitted kitchen with automatic washing machine - so you can take less clothes. Lots of pots/pans etc. Full size fridge/freezer and cooker with oven and grill. If I had to add anything a microwave would have been handy but it had everything else. Bedrooms were large with good beds and plenty of bedding. The pictures on the internet do not do these apartments justice.

The only drawback for us was that they advertised these apartments as having satellite TV in English and it was all in German and Spanish. We do like to watch the news and the odd film as we have kids and do not do really late nights - so this was a bit of a drawback but only slightly. Also the TV is on a slot meter.

I will definitely book the Veracruz apartments again. If you want a great apartment with the best views in Benidorm, then you could not do much better than these.

We stayed at the Veracruz apartments last year for the first time and will definitley be going back to them again this year. They are lovely and spacious, with great balconies and fabulous sea views.

The location is another added bonus as they are far enough away from all the noisy night life but only a five minute walk to get to it, a supermarket, chemist and shops all on your door step as well as that all important beach.

A party of 12 visited the Veracruz and it is in a perfect location on the promenade in front of the beach. Access to all shops and bars is perfect and it is all on the flat with no hills.

The security in the apartments is excellent as there is a buzzer entry for each apartment and also a desk clerk at the front entrance. There are two lifts - small but necessary.

The apartments are fully equipped, some with washing machines and all with cookers and fridge freezers and microwave. The two bedrooms are either side of the bathroom with large balconies. I would stay here again.
