We have just returned from a family holiday at the Regina Gran Hotel. Whilst the reception and restaurant staff were very helpful and polite, the staff in the downstairs pool area could do with a course in public relations. Some were very abrupt and rude and none of the staff seemed to follow the same rules, i.e. one member let us into the pool area in sand shoes but the following day another insisted we needed flip flops or we couldn't enter, not even barefoot.

The rooms were nice and comfortable, although, for all there was a TV in the room, there was only one English speaking channel, this being Sky news, so not very good for bored kids.

I must also say that the maintenance staff were fantastic. I reported to reception that the shower in my room was broken and within ten minutes, there was a member of staff there to fix it so full marks there.

The reception had a wide variety of food on offer, although I would say there wasn't much choice for children. This could be due to the fact that we went just before the season began.

All in all, I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and I would definitely go back due to the good points of the place.

The Regina Gran hotel was very central and was clean and friendly. Staff were very helpful. The mattress on my bed was old and tired and when I brought this to the attention of staff, it was changed immediately.

There was plenty of choice of food but it was not warm enough for my liking. Perhaps plate warmers could be provided and this might help?
