Have just returned from a very noisy two weeks in the Thalassa in Santa Susana. There was no maid service for a whole fortnight. We were given clean sheets after a week but had to make the beds up ourselves. There was lots of groups of young people in the apartments who made a lot of noise at all hours of the day and night. Glad to get home for some peace and quiet and a nice clean bathroom.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at the Thalassa for four nights and absolutely loved it. Reception was very helpful when we needed them, otherwise you get your keys and are just left to it. Towels changed every couple of days and a perfect location for the beach. Absolutely love it. We are going again on Monday with the kids!

We stayed for four fab nights. The apprtment was spacious, clean and had a very good size balcony. We loved the polite and friendly staff who couldn't do enough to help, especially Wendy.

The pool and surrounding facilities were family orientated and the kids' club had excellent toys available which was great for keeping our two year old entertained.

The last day room has all that you would need, including clean and spacious shower facilities.

Situated in a great position for day trips and great food to be had. We cant wait to book up the Thalassa and take our friends with us.

We stayed at the Thalassa for our second time, this time together with a couple of our friends for 12 days. We also stayed here in May 2007 and wanted to return to this lovely place in Santa Susanna with perfection and hospitality at this self-catering apartment.

The day-open reception is wonderful as well as the Tahiti Playa reception takes over outside the day-hours. Also, all facilities i.e. pools, beach, leisure and shopping only a short walking distance away.

We recommend the Thalassa and are now planning for our third stay later this year. Be positive because here you can get more value than paid for.

Arrived at the apartments and nobody there so went to the hotel next door who were very helpful and polite. It was 1 a.m. in the morning and we were told that no reservation had been made. Had written confirmation with us so they had to arrange a room. Very old fashioned and not very clean, however, we did our best to have a good holiday.

The beach and the hotel next day were lovely but very busy. The hotel on a night after midnight was noisy with young people just going out.

We were a family of four and did not speak to one English person throughout the ten days we were there. The receptionist at the hotel was very rude and not at all helpful.

Be very cautious when handing over your 120 euros deposit for breakages! They only allowed us an 80 euros refund on our morning of departure due, they said, to us making too much noise and swimming in the pool late at night.

Basically, do not go to the Thalassa apartments.

It is the best holiday I have ever had. The staff are nice and helpful and the place itself is very good and clean. Nice people around. I did not have a single problem anywhere nor did I find a problem anywhere.

The apartments were nice and kept clean. The pool was nice and clean too so I would go back to the Thalassa as soon as I can book another holiday next year. Good work done by all the staff. Keep up the good work.

We have just returned from a three night stay at the Thalassa Apartments and are grateful it was only three nights! We arrived after 7.00 p.m. and there was no-one on reception. Us and another couple were stood there waiting and after about ten minutes a guest approached us and told us we had to go the reception in the Tahiti next door. Why they couldn't stick a notice up informing people of this I don't know!

Then, when we tried to check in, they informed us that we had no booking - admittedly, this was the fault of our agent who had failed to let them know. So we were given a room which had not been prepared. There were no towels or blankets (it was cold at night time).

If you intend to be able to get a good night's sleep, then don't bother staying here. The other guests were noisy, the trains were very regular and often and the hotel across the road had live music on every night till midnight. We will definitely not be returning.

Myself and my wife took three of our grandchildren to the Thalassa apartments for a seven night stay. May 26th-June 2nd. We stayed on the ground floor, and while the room inside was more than ample, unfortunately, it did not get any sun on it at all. We also found that there was not enough hot water for us all to shower and the apartment whilst not exactly dirty, could have been cleaned a lot better.

On the bright side, it is a lovely complex with use of the hotel pool which is right on the beach, a nice friendly staff, and Wendy on the apartment reception, who is a Dutch girl but speaks perfect English will do anything to help your holidays run smoothly with nothing to much trouble and served with a smile.

We found the people were lovely and friendly but the apartments are right beside a train line, so sleeping was a problem. There was no kettle or toaster, if you wanted them, you had to hire them, but over all it was ok and the rooms were clean.

We have stayed twice in the Thalassa Apartments. The first time was great, clean facilities, a large balcony/terrace and the cooking utensils were clean. The reception was manned by a lovely British lady called Linda, so we went back for a second time. Linda was gone, as were the clean facilities. The pots, pans, cups and plates were thick with grease (which they shouldn't have been, as when you check out of the apartments, you are subject to a Spanish inquisition by the cleaning staff who go through the apartment banging and clattering around, checking you haven't broken anything and kept the place clean.) You will need to take your own toilet paper. When you arrive, the cleaners leave two rolls, but when you've used them, you have to buy your own! The bedding is changed once a fortnight and the towels are changed once a week. Well, I say the bedding is changed, the cleaners come in and dump clean bedding on your bed and expect you to change the sheets - I've never experienced this before on holiday!

The hotel is crawling with Dutch teenagers on their 18-30's holidays, which is fantastic, NOT! My husband and I are only in our twenties ourselves, but we go away to relax, except you can't as everywhere you turn there is another Dutch person throwing up their cocktails or banging around in their high heels on the corridor outside or singing songs in broken English at the top of their voices at 5.30 a.m. The resort of Santa Susanna is fantastic and we have been now four times, but we will never, ever stay in the Thalassa Apartments again!
